What if this elevator could lead to One-Eyed Willie's rich stuff?

 

What if James Bond is fighting two African drug lords on the stairs at that moment?

 

As a rule I use stairs if I am going 10 stories or less.

Another rule is that I first go into the elevator and press the buttons for every floor.

 

What if?

 

What if, like, say in certain department stores, there are no stairs.

We don't have stairs in our building so everyone has to go through this every day. It sucks. (there are technically stairs but there's no lights or a railing on them out back so you kind of are risking falling off the building if you use them when it's not super sunny out)

 

if someone were creative enough, we could make this thread read like a dr. seuss book.

 

Doesn't this kind of thing violate regulations or something?

 

Well the elevator I use has a great cook.

 

This drives me crazy at work.

 

What about the people who wait for like 30-40 minutes at the bus terminal only to get off at the first stop right down the road?

I'm like, you could have walked over and been there 25 minutes ago...

I live on the second floor and have to take the lift all the time. We have fire stairs, but the doors are only openable from the apartment level side. If you are in the stair well you need the master keys to get out unless you go to ground level. Which of course, empties out onto the back street rather than the front side of the building.

 

Learn parkour and run down the outside of the building.

 

Because this apparently is a serious issue, any chance I get to take an elevator to go up 1-2 floors, I'll take it.*



*You know, a field test, a sociological experiment to see if people care enough to call someone out on it in public!
