Spok, WA About the June 21 B-B-Q...

First off, is it happenning?
(Personally, I've already put in a time-off request at work, so I'm committed.)

Second, if it is happenning, myself, Cheeser and Smudge need to get cracking on contacting people. I only have phone numbers for John & Kelli, Rheanna, Smudge & Sabrina, and Nathan. That's it.
(Hopefully I'm not assuming too much, Mason and Erik?)

Third, what should people bring?

Agreed, we need to get going on this. I've been kind of tied up lately with illnesses and post surgery recovery (Kodiak was neutered and dealing with him wearing the giant "cone" is a bit of a challenge)

 

Well, I said in the other thread, if our "Event Coordinators" can get people to commit, we'll provide the place and the meat. So you guys let me know if people are coming, and I'll arrange the place and the meat.

 

I expect to be able to come, assuming I can get a ride.

 

Eledaia put it to a vote, so if enough people say "aye" I know that I will contact Smudge and Alfredo (other than helping me find gate latches!) and get things going.

 

I should be able to give a ride to any who need it.

Nat is just too far away, though she will be in town from the 12th to the 16th for her brother's graduation.

Mason's schedule might not allow him to attend, even though these Events tend to run for long stretches, thus allowing for stragglers.

Anthony from the Tri-Cities definitely can't make it due to his schedule.

Darthchromer is also unable to attend, due to his son's Birthday.

Kelli didn't realize this when she picked the date, but this will be happening on Ironman weekend in Cd'A, so it will be rather busy, but we'll get to the park early and try and reserve our spot, if necessary, there's always our apartment, and possibly Bluegrass Park, it's nice and big.

Cheeser mentioned the Cd'A BBQ to me in the welcome thread and I'd happily attend. But I'll need someone to grab me from work if they're going later(between 1:30 and 2:00 PM) as I don't have a vehicle. As long as whoever does isn't going out of their way, as I said to Eledaia, I don't wish to impose on anyone.

Anyway, if I can make it out there, I look forward to meeting everyone.

And payday for me is the 20th if it comes down to providing gas money. Which reminds me, will there be anything I need besides myself?

What time does it start and end again?

I'll show up at the end of it if I can steal John to work on the Programming book for an hour or hours.

 

It is with regret that I announce that Sabrina will not be able to attend the BBQ this weekend. Her work schedule was unexpectedly changed. I will still be attending and will be bringing Sabrina's teriyaki. Also I will have at least one vacant seat for carpooling. I have yet to decide if I am bringing Kodiak.

 

We had someone walk out at my job and this person happened to be my relief on Saturday and Sunday. I ended up working until 7 PM on the 14th as no one could take over. At this point, I don't know how or IF my schedule will change. It's very likely it won't but I will keep you posted.

 

UPDATE... or somesuch: My schedule remains intact and I should be available right after work on Saturday. *Phew* Also, if I am hitching a ride with someone, then I need to determine a time and place to meet. PM me here, or IM me on Yahoo Messenger (I'm always online)
