Please don't bring old, pointless threads to the top of the board without some *legitmate* purpose or reason. This is extremely inconsiderate to everyone who's created a new topic today.

This isn't a JC rule, but it is common courtesy. I'll *ask* you to please refrain from bringing any more crap to the top of the page, folks.

 

If they were pointless in the first place, shouldn't they have been deleted?

 

Yeah, it gets annoying and is quite unwindy.

I only bring up old threads that I missed the first time around. I go back to when I stopped lurking at the JC and start from there. So I'm bringing up threads, but not all of the old stupid ones

 

Those two should be banned for that.....

I'd say that multiple threads on the first page done by one person is MORE unneccessary than bringing up old threads. Old threads are semi-cool. As long it's not over done.

I'm talking to Cigam right now. I've already talked to Pyrus. Of course, it was done in 'fun'; but again, it's really rude to everyone who posted new topics today. They're all unfairly & forcably dropped to the previous pages because of it.

 

I bet their threads were dumb. The old threads are much more interesting. Let's live in the past!

 

So how are we to tell if something is a legit post or someone trying to "up" the thread??? Sometimes one or two word posts are all that one needs.

This policy is gonna need to be retooled in order to be effective.
