HamptRds, VA ACCESS Halloween event on Oct. 30th

Rebellion FanForce Members will attend a Halloween party, sponsored by
a non-profit organization called AIDS Care Center for Education & Support
Services (ACCESS)

It will be held in Norfolk from 5 to 7 pm on Oct. 30th (Tuesday). Children of various ages affected with AIDS will be in attendance, either themselves or have parents/family members with AIDS.

This will be a festive atmosphere, so be prepared to have fun with 25-40 kids who are eager to see Star Wars costumers/non-costumers to play with.

For purposes of confidentiality, I cannot disclose exact location here in this public forum, so please contact me if you don't already know where it is.

If you plan on attending, I will need a an ACCESS confidentiality agreement signed by you. I can email the pdf file or wait until the Oct. 13th meeting where I will have forms available.

There will be no photography at this event, unless it's by an ACCESS staff member or family member.

 

Can I get a preliminary count as to who can make this?

Non-costumers are most encouraged to attend to act as handlers and to support planned children activities.

Mike, children (under the age of 18) of HRR members are not allowed to attend this event. It's part of the ACCESS confidentiality policy.

I've emailed a confidentiality agreement in Adobe PDF to everyone who has expressed an interest in attending.

If you wish to attend, and you didn't get one, be sure to contact me.

Please be sure to have that on hand come Oct. 30th to give to the ACCESS Program Director.

The ACCESS staff are extremely excited to see us there on Oct. 30th to jazz up their event!

They're trying to arrange for a digital camera with color printer and/or PC on hand, so staff can take pics of the kids with us, make prints, then we'd autograph them for the kids to take home.

Should be fun!

There will be around 40-50 kids, 5 - 15 years. Several volunteers will be on hand.

It will be a casual, laid-back event.

Fantastic! Great time last night! The kids loved us, especially Darth Vader! Kids ate lots of pizza, did arts & crafts stuff, decorated cookies, and the ACCESS staff took lots of photos with us and the kids!

We will appear in their newsletter due out shortly!
