So, anyone seen the trailers for Gravity?
Because space is terrifying.....
I had a female avatar for about a week on the Temp boards. I only didn't keep it because it was too hard to pick out. I like having a distinct and easy to find icon.
I am not at all enthused by Gravity. I'll stick with Alien and Moon for my space thrillers.
I only saw the trailers so far... is this one of those films where an astronaut (or 2 in this case?) is trapped freefalling to Earth the whole time, a la 127 Hours?
Not a bad concept if done right. But it's been done repeatedly in sci-fi novellas over the years (and its close cousin, the trapped-in-aimless-spaceship/suit), so I'm wary.
I usually have inanimate objects as my avatar -- flags, medals, thrones, palaces. Wonder what that means
Of course your avatar can be anything!
After all, I have a tuxedo-wearing, martini-sipping cybernetically-enhanced psychopathic secret agent rooster for mine!
(And quite seriously, if this isn't cause enough for you all to go and read Chew there's something wrong with you! Unless you're reading Saga that is the only valid excuse!)
"YOU'RE an inanimate ****ing object!"
I have been Ackbar for the entirety of my tenure on these boards. And the same image for nearly the entire time, until my buddy
@CooperTFN convinced me to use Mini Ackbar as my icon. And to be honest, I am attached to the little guy, moreso now that Detours will most likely never see the light of day. As Coop pointed out, this image is now a historical relic.
It's called Guppy Ackbar.
I am kinda partial to Lil' Ackbar.
My avatars are invariably nuclear weapons or Cthulhu.
Oh wait -- I did have people as avatars a few times. I had Emperor Alec Guiness a few times, and I had Avatar Korra back when Vivec, Uli, and Darth_Guy were all wearing different Avatar State icons... that was a good little coordinated icon thing.
And I think I had Ser Barristan as an icon for about five minutes
*consults dusty textbook*
Fear of intimacy.
Well, you all have convinced me not to worry that everyone outside of Lit thinks I'm a man - and that I should dance with the one who brought me.
I always thought you were a probe droid.
Don't you mean an Imperial probe droid?
I already saw this story. Cerberus ends up having to rebuild Shephard after it's all said and done.
It's a good bet the Empire knows we're here.
Other than Twitter, where can one ask Leland Chee questions?
It's okay--I think everyone outside of Lit are soulless hellbeasts.
Facebook. Search the Holocron Keeper, it's his page.
So this is kind of appropriate -- I'm at the last level of Jedi Knight now. Jerec has yanked my lightsaber out of my hands and I can't find it, so Kyle is basically just punching Jerec in the face.
So you have found the canon ending.
I have to admit it's so much more satisfying. I have Force Protection going on absorbing most of the damage, so I'm just hitting him over and over and he's going "Argh! argh!"
I swear, the fists cause more damage than the lightsaber because unlike the saber, they can't be blocked.... Jerec can't repel firepower of that magnitude!
So, thanks to the Steam summer sale, I finally got around to purchasing Skyrim for the PC, and have proceeded to mod the living **** out of it.
I clearly had no idea what I was missing.
The modding community for the Elder Scrolls really is fantastic.
