I was informed that you guys were looking for good cheap blades. We found a great place up in Denver.

Here's the link to the thread.

Does anyone have a belt sander and a propane torch?

We should do one mass order and then have a saber building party. And unlike that last RL party, maybe this time we'll work on some props. :D (Not that we weren't having fun, though ;) )

I'd love to see the group out here have blades for their sabers. :D

So what colors do you all want? I'm thinking neon green, because it's supposed to light up easier for night time effects, and looks bright in the day time.

I can attain a belt sander no problem. My father-in-law has an awsome set of tools.

    I would prefer green also.

Sure, you can do a park saber, and they're cool and all. But I can put a blade on my existing saber hilt for $10 or less. And it's my design, my hilt, and doesn't break my budget. :D

That's why these acrylic blades are so great. :D

Plus they are great for sparring w/ not just lighting up in the dark.

I've heard some horror stories about those park sabers (exploding and such).

Well when I talked to the lady I talked about maybe getting a discount and they said that they are thinking about giving con employees, voulenteers and such discounts so keep that in mind.

I'd LOVE to get one from parksabers...but I can't afford it. For my money, a yellow or red (or pink as Jen claims) acrylic blade with a light source at the bottom is the way to go. The red and yellow ones transmit light very well, you just have to jury rig a light source in your home-made hilt (mini flashlights work good for me so far).

And the acrylic blades are VERY durable (as Denver found out recently as we had our first saber battle with them...great fun!)
