I know there are plenty of collectors in CF. What is your favorite source for action figure stands: 3 3/4 inch, 6 inch, and the 12 inch? My desk is littered with fallen bodies from SW and LotR.
/gets up.....looks around.....nothing is standing/ really.......they have stands for 12-inch for Star Wars, Ed
I don't have a clue for 6in or 12in. However, I have a great source for 3 3/4in figure stands. The best prices I've ever found are at http://www.wholesalecases.com/star-wars-supplies.html.
I don't know about stands for 6" or 12" either....just the 3 3/4" figures... the 3 3/4" figures even have a hole in the bottom of the feet on the figures to accomodate the stands... do the 6 or 12" have holes? If not...then I would say that stands don't exist...
In the 40 year old virgin you can see these stand that hold his 12in figs up. But I've never seen them for sale anywhere.
I've seen 12" figure stands in the craft section of Walmart before. A couple different types too. I have a few and they work great.
I wonder if they are the "Barbie" type? I have seen Barbie Dolls on stands before....they are about 12".... something like this https://secure.wavi.com/allaboutdolls/cgi-bin/shopper?key=MS-SM&preadd=action
funny if they turn out to be barbie stands, as my wife bought me a 12-inch Obi Wan back after AOTC came out and then referred to it consistently (and sarcastically) as my "Star Wars barbie."
Probably is some sort of doll stand you can get in the craft section of Walmart. May I suggest you paint it up really cool-like.
I'm not much of a collector, except maybe of books, so this might seem stupid, but. . . If you like to display your figures above eye level (atop a hutch, fridge, bookshelf, whatever, where you can't see their feet), double-sided picture mounting tape (craft store), sticks 'em down great. But if you want real, earthquake-proof mounting, you can use double-sided accesory mounting tape from the auto parts store.
I used poster putty before and it worked great...as long as you don't mind discoloration or marring the surface.
