Not a big fan of EU stuff but am disappointed by the decision not to release some figures of the EU range here

it should all be released or nothing
not much point getting half of the series

just like we are faced with never really knowing what POTJ we are going to see in store

what do people think of the latest hasbro fan choice poll?

 

I'd like to see rukh and the noghri made into figures.

What gimmick do you think they will have before the release of e2 figs? (they had e1 flashbacks)

 

There could be more "Flashback" figures for the added characters like Boba Fett, Owen and Beru Lars, and another C-3PO and R2-D2 (a bit pointless that one).

The could even do a triple "Flashback" for Anakin - or even quadruple if you include Vader.

do you think they will continue with the commtech ever in the future?

 

I get a bit carried away and buy two of everything one to open and one to store away.
Problem is I have hundreds of little people cluttering up my room and 12" people cluttering up my lounge.
Makes for an interesting converstation piece everyone thinks I'm mad LOL LOL LOL

so what new deluxe figure are people most looking forward to??

i think it's Amanaman for me
then maybe Luke in the Bacta tank which i think will be quite cool

 

Leia with sail barge cannon.

 

I was just wondering how the bacta tank will fit with my hoth display

I am not sure how she will fit in with my current displays but i think it is great they put the figures with some extra toy bits

i wonder if they will ever bring out a sail barge to put the cannon on?

 

I want the leia too, and Amanaman would be nice. I haven't seen the packaging yet... are they on cards or window boxes? a sail barge (to scale) would be cool.
what about an asteroid playset with a sock puppet?

Theres still lots of ewoks that havent been made into figures. CZ1 or CZ3 would be cool.

I used to open my figures, but very carefully so I can still use the packaging. But I haven't opened a figure for a few years now.
It was only after Chansplace mentioned it that I noticed Bespin Escape Leia had two grey Stormie Rifles why she does I don't know, but it is strange. Its not the first time that they have had the wrong colours on the weapons.
I like the scale etc with the new figures, but I've had a couple so far that haven't had the paint applied properly. I was also a bit disappointed with the Aurra Sing figure cause she doesn't have the spike sticking out the top of her head. I also wish the availability was better!!

Personally i like opening them to see how they all work
esp with some of the new bits on the newer figures

i have Han and greedo sitting properly in the cantina now

 

and the thing with action figures is, you can act out the scene before lucas changed it for the SE, ie with out greedo shooting first.

Just got Pote Snitkin added to the collection quite an awesome looking figure.

Also added Kabe and Muftak to my cantina scene but need a few more and a bar tender

Why can't hasbro bring out the fan club exclusive here? do we get a bum deal on some of the exclusive figures or what.

Think i am going to need more shelf space soon.

 

I hope they do continue with the Commtech's. Its alot of money to pay out for a reader if they are only going to use them for one movie! But since they haven't used them for the POTJ line, I can't see them still using it. But can you imagine how cool it would be to have a Commtech Boba and Jango Fett!!!

 

Im pretty undecided about the commtechs. While some are great, like the Han and Vader ones, some are just terrible, eg: The Darth Maul (Jedi Duel) sounds horrible, Captain Tarpilles sound russian, and Yoda sounds like he really does has Frank Oz's hand up his....
One thing they really could have done better, aside from using the same voice actor for 90% of the chips, is change the blaster sounds around a bit, Drodikas with the Same blaster sounds as Battle Droids and star Fighters, thats just not right
I have to say that i liked most of the minor chracters chips, like Rick Olie, and the Queen Amidalla (Senate) sounded great also.
I still rekon that they are worth continuing.

 

I'm not too fussed about the CT's. some are cool, but some re-dubbed voices sound awful.

I've heard that Wuher the batender made it to US shelves after being over produced for the fanclub.
Brians toys have them on special, which means the availability is better now. still, they never made it here.

Admiral motti CT is one of my favourites too.

 

commtech are a good idea i hope they continue them but improve some of the sounds

Commtechs had the stand peg, but they gave them up pretty quick.
