I'm not sure why, but I've always thought that William Defoe was a Star Wars actor that never was.
Am I right?
Yes, you are right. I posted that earlier, I think he would be good as a Sith.
Ah, I see you also mentioned Rutger Hauer. Agreed.
Idris Elba would be great in any role. I'll add and/or agree:
Bryce Dallas Howard
To the Jason Segel guy -- never in a million years!!!!
Julianne Moore as Mara Jade-Skywalker. A beautiful red-head only 9 years younger than Mark Hamill.
I'd like to see Sean Connery in the movie somehow(as Henry Solo Sr?..."we named the Ewok Han", lol). Seriously though, a LFL alum that should be in this somewhere.
SHIA LEBOUF, YA'LL!!!!!
I still maintain my idea of having Andrew Garfield play some child of Han/Leia's. Or perhaps even just some main Jedi character.
Plus, I know he's already doing a bunch of fantasy/sci fi movies right now, but I wouldn't mind seeing Benedict Cumberbatch as a villain. Or, how about a FEMALE villain!? Charlize Theron....Perhaps???
If Mara Jade is going to be in there, how about Famke Janssen? Or Christina Hendricks?
Actually, except for the brown eyes... Andrew Garfield looks sort of like how I always pictured Ben Skywalker to look.
Julianne Moore as Mara Jade... at around 40 ABY? Damn! That so works! (60 year old Luke and Leia = 40 ABY, 58 year old Mara Jade = 40 ABY, and a 70 year old Han Solo = 40 ABY) LFL... Do it! Do it! Do it!
EDIT: Willem Dafoe as Kyp Durron!
Bit young for Hamill, no? He ain't exactly a silver fox.
Not a fox, but maybe he's a rhino.
As Kip durron
Or a grizzly bear.
Then again, I never thought the artwork of Mara as a black leather clad supermodel accurately matched Zahn's descriptions.
A rhino is the male counterpart of a cougar.
(Urbandictionary informs me that this is "because they are ugly and horny.")
Katie Holmes. now that she divorced Tom Cruise, she's looking alot better and this might be the kick starter to revitalize her career (either that or i'm reliving one of my childhood fantasies.)
I don't know. It might be just me, but I could see Kit Harington in Star Wars. Perhaps as an apprentice/young Jedi Knight. He already has expierence with sword play from GoT, and his role as Jon Snow just reminds me of a Jedi type. I even think he could pull off the role of protagonist.
Doug Jones (Blue guy from Hellboy)
Is he out of jail yet?
John Ransone, i think that's his name. The guy who played Ziggy on the Wire.
I like Benedict Cumberbatch but not for SW. The second he appeared I'd immediately think SHERLOCK!
Anyone that's hasn't seen the BBC series Sherlock really needs to -- its awesome!
Me! I'd like to see myself in the ST! Couldn't be much worse than the Jedi extras they used in the Genosian Arena. Not that I disliked the scene but it just seemed like they handed people lightsabers and told them to "swing away". AWESOME.
I'd love to be an extra.
I would love Cumberbatch to be in Star Wars, but I think it's unlikely since he's in Star Trek Into Darkness. I feel like his natural role would be as a villain and it would be kind of weird to have him as a villain in both SW and ST so close together, unfortunately.
