ah yes Inean, sorry about that, so many mortals, so much Vitae, so little time.

Inean: You work in a all nite bar in vegas. Your serving drinks to people in various states on inebreation when a woman sits down at the bar. Her hair is black hainging down to her waist with brightly colored yard braided into it on one side. the other side of her head is shaved. Shes wearing a mesh top your fairly certain you could see through in good light, camoflage pants and black boots.

 

"Colors... what are you talking about? And how did you tongue heal that fast? What color do you see? What color would you like to see?"

If I haven't already, I put my computer away. Am I done eating my steak?

 

I make sure the people at the bar are taken care of as I walk over to where she is sitting. when I get to her I will take a closer look at her to confirm what I saw when she walked into the bar. Ive seen oddly dressed and groomed people here in the bar before so I dont give much of a reaction to her.

I say to her, " what can I do for ya?"
I'll place a coaster in front of her.

Is she pretty? how tall is she? what complexion is she?

also one more thing, are there any men there who have been talking bad about thier wives or girlfriends or who have been talking about how bad they are or how tough they are?

 

OOG: Working all day, so I didn't get a chance to post until now.

After drinking my water I go back to the library and begin researching vampires, trying to focus on thigns that I didn't already know. Focusing on ways to kill vampires.

A woman (who looks like Julian Moore) on her way out of the club throws a a folded note at you beating a hasty retreat out of the club.

You are not donw with your steak, crazy lady has not been hear that long.

 

I snag the note, and put it on my lap. I look at the lady across from me, and take my (really cool looking) knife out "Well I have my own knife, thank you. Are you saying you want to cut my tongue and then heal it... so you want to do your trick on me, is that it? Well, it is a great trick..."

Shea/Talon: Shea, yes your post is fine so Talon, thats what the note says.

Talon: No you dont sense ill will but theres something potentially disturbing about her trick. You get the feeling it will involve something you wont like.

"Yes, yes, trick you say, slash away, heal you, I will." OOG Is she starting to sound like a psychotic Yoda or is it just me?

 

I look at the note, memorize the number, and then put it away in a pocket. I take a glance around. Am I on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment or something like that? I bet I am. This is too bizarre to be happening just out in the open like this, with someone cutting their tongue and then it being all healed up. And then some strange lady handing me a note. Someone wants me to freak out. Someone is playing a trick on me, I bet. But they don't know who they're messing with.

"Lady, two things: first, you haven't even told me your name. I never let anyone cut my tongue if I don't know their name."

I deadpan that last part. "Secondly, this steak is reeaaally good, and I want to finish it and savor it, which might be hard to do once you cut my tongue, so give me a couple of minutes to finish it. Whaddya say?"

I take out my cel, and as I wait for her answer, I dial that number from the note.

I'm going to take out my cell phone and call 911. I'm going to tell them where we are and that we've both been attacked. Also I want to tell them that the blonde looks very hurt and seems to be in dire need of medical attention.

 

Talon: Give me an intelligence check, beat a 10 and you remember she mentioned the name Irena in a freaky third person sort of way the first time you asked her name.

Either way she does not repeat her name. She sits down in a more normal fashion and crosses her arms beneath her chest. "Finish steak then. Then tongue trick."

Klepto: You call 911, they ask you the normal questions. Five minutes later you are being rushed to the hospital, give me a fortitude save.

I continue to eat my steak, soaking each bite in the pool of blood on my plate before I eat it.

 

Does the woman reply to my question? If not Ill just get her some water and send a waitress over to ask the guys at that table if they want anything else to drink. I will be listenning to those guys to see if one guy is particularly cruel in his comments and keeping an periferal ear for the woman who recently arrived.

 

Inean: "Im looking for someone."

Talon: No one answers the phone, your almost done with your steak. Irena is just watching you and playing with her knife

 

If I get voice mail, I say in a low voice, "Hi, this is Alex, you gave me your number in RA. Call me at 408-438-3800." Then I hang up and put away my phone.


"What an odd girl," I think to myself as I finish the steak and look at Irena. "Waiting to show me her trick... or is she psycho? Or was that other girl the one that was nuts? I think I know how to test Irena whether Irena means me harm...

"Irena, that's a nice knife. May I see it?" I hold out my hand.

 

Talon: She tilts her head and then holds the knife up and retracts the blade, slapping it into your palm. "Sure." She seemed more lucid than normal when she said that.
