ST Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) in Episode VII

I didn't see the resemblance at all until someone posted a comparison pic of the three of them a while back, now I think it's a possibility.

 

Driver will be a long lost Solo kid who was stolen away as a child and raised to be a Sith Lord.

 

He looks nothing like them haha.

 

I think it's more a quality thing. He has that same languid thing going on that Han did in ANH. To me anyway.

 

No thanks. I really hope he's not their son.

 

He's their grandfather!

 

I know it's been mentioned before, but if nothing else, Driver certainly resembles Han from the Holiday Special.



It's almost uncanny.

 

May be thats one of the reasons why he's supposed to be wearing some sort of mask and at the end of the movie will be the big reveal?

I found myself with a huge craving for Nacho and after buying two packs of it I was reminded of Driver in the F Word.
When I got here I didn't expect the whole thread to be this abandoned.

 

To be fair, if he is the main villain as rumored , he'll be one of the last characters we learn anything about, not until they release a trailer , probably.

 

I was just thinking that out of all the main cast (with the exception of Von Sydow) Driver is the one we've heard the least about since shooting started. We've known the whereabouts of the Big 3, John and Daisy have been tweeting like crazy, Gleeson has been photographed in various states of beardiness, Oscar Isaac has been snapped with Harrison in London. But not a sausage about Adam Driver. Do we even know his whereabouts lately?

 

Makes you wonder about those rumors about him wearing a similar get up to Vadar. If it's true he definitely wouldn't wanna be photographed as easily as the rest. But like you said, even casually we haven't seen him.

 

Back in May/June, he was spotted in NYC doing some filming for Girls. There were some set photos of him and Lena Dunham. So he hasn't been working on Star Wars this entire time. I'm sure he's done some filming by now of course, but I haven't seen anything about him recently pertaining to Girls or Star Wars or anything. His new movie with Daniel Radcliffe just premiered in NY on Friday night and while there are a ton of photos of Dan, it doesn't seem like Adam was there.

 

Well maybe we actually saw him but he was wearing heavy make-up and we mistook him for Hamill.

 

I'm much more concerned about Driver's role than I am about anyone else's. There's nothing that I would hate more than a lame villain.

 

That`s not make-up, that`s magic! But on the other hand J.J has done MI, so he might have got the idea from there!

 

Driver is the same height as Christie.

I wonder if that is a coincidence or if this is done with a purpose?

 

Hmmmm maybe Driver gets pulverized by a huge dragon and when he returns under his helmet we see that he is actually a woman. What? Wrong series?

 

Yes, well I was thinking more along the lines the Empire genetically engineering warriors or manipulating the Force like the Mothet Talzin.

Too close a connection to Star Trek Into Darkness but that kind of thing.

 

And I was obviously ripping off Final Fantasy XIV, but FF is awesome so it is allowed.

 

Star Wars with a weak villain is not good. I think they have quite a challenge making the main villain memorable (and iconic) like Vader. I remember reading a spy report from 2 or 3 months ago where someone saw Luke Skywalker in a up-hill light saber duel with 'Sith-like' character with a bald head and mask over their face in weirdly lit snowy forest-like setting (with the 'weird lighting' coming from a burning Millennium Falcon).
