    Thanks for the update.

    No drama.

    :(

    More problem users were discussed.

I see I was discussed as usual.

They are the best band ever, in my opinion.

GAH! First they ruin my favorite Shakespeare quote, and now one of my favorite Beatles songs. Misquotes make me sad. :(

    Lol, parodies rule!

And yeah, I saw that title and I thught it was another JC Movie spoof kinda thing. Oh well, it's just the modsquad update :( ;) [face_devil]

    So-

Son of the Suns talked about his strange encounter on another board with the infamous barry. <--- Don't we get to hear about the encounte,r too? :(

"If a user flames and edits it out to avoid getting in trouble, ban him. If a user flames and edits it out with an apology, warn him and thank him for having the decency to remove it himself." <---I dunno, this seems a little harsh. I guess it kinda depends on whether anyone was hurt by the flame or not. Because if a person is really angry at someone else (maybe for good reason), and they post something inflammatory, then realize it's not allowed here and takes it back really fast before anyone sees it ( or theytry to take it back before it's seen, anyway), I don't think that's much of an offense. However, I am sure some posters like to kinda taunt the mods by leaving it unedited until the last possible minute, eliciting replies and all from it, until they smugly destroy the evidence by editing it. That could get to be a problem if not worked on.

However, very few people get over being angry at someone within the time frame required to edit, but this does not mean they won't be very sorry afterwards.

It just seems like this should be taken on a case-by-case basis

It was decided that the forum will not be moved to the Community category, at least for the timebeing. <---//throws confetti Yay, Games is staying in the EU! :p

    1. Posting the same message over and over, either in the same thread, different threads, or multiple forums. <---I assume you mean on purpose? Cause lots of times I have accidentally double or even triple posted. Thanks to my quirky ISP.

I totally agree with verything else. Sounds like you guys are earning your keep ;)

If you guys want more Beatles parodies, just go to the thread SotS linked to. Here's that link again. SotS has done every song from "Revolver," and I've done every song from "Sgt. Pepper's," and there are also lots more Beatles and other artists' songs. :)

Games is redundant as it already is, so if you add games to a larger populated area, such as the Community, this spells MEGA redundancy.

"The mods discussed the issue of defining spam. As a start these three rules were decided on.

I suppose this doesn't include manual signatures, does it?

    Best. Misquote. Ever. :)

And I like the Austin Powers theme, although I have yet to see Goldmember.

"I suppose this doesn't include manual signatures, does it?"

Oh crap. Though technically, it's not a message. At least for some of us.

    Amazing.

    Nice update, thanks. :)

I don't think all manual signatures are spam. ;)

Common sense dictates that manual signatures and accidental multi-posts should not be considered spam. It's the content (or lack thereof) that we're concerned about.

*wants to hear of encounter with Barry*

    :D

I can't say I've ever actually ever seen someone break that first spam rule here - is it a real problem?

Good update there, SotS, and nice change to the Shakespearean misquote :) Just curious, but what's the subject title actually supposed to mean?

LittleJedi, I'm afraid that it can be a problem sometimes. Just yesterday, we had someone repeatedly posting the exact same message in Miscellaneous, even after a warning to stop. :(
