The Admin profiles have a title (Moderator, Manager, or Administrator) beside the username. I was wondering if it was possible to also include what forum exactly they moderate?

It's not much, but it would be a nice addition, IMHO.

That would require a coding change, and I'm sure you know the drill when it comes to that.

The closest we can get is including our forum in our bio or "job" line.

*sighs* I thought that since we had control over what goes within the Title, that we would also have control over goes beside the name. Oh well.

Well, if Admins don't mind - then maybe they could add in a little line about what forum they moderate in the "job" line. Most leave it blank, anyway....

EDIT: Oops. That's basically what you said KW. [face_blush]

KW, how many spaces are you allowed in the "job line"? perhaps, next to the job title, you could add the forums in abbreviations, like, JCC, Comms, 3SA, 3NS

Can't say I know. I've never used the line myself.

Or you could just take a peak at their title.

Meaning, click on their Latest Messages and then on one of their messages, I suppose. ;)

I know - but when you have an internet connection that's horribly slow ...

Meh. When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons and make super-lemons.

As an addendum, I believe Kadue (or maybe someone earlier) adopted a "No Joke Titles" for staff anymore, so someone's title (e.g. mine) would reflect exactly what the user's capabilities are in terms of the Forums they moderate.

There are no more "Istari" floating around... :p

I'm going off on a slight tangent, but I have question: Why, for some Mods, does it say "Manager" in the profile and "Moderator" under the title

Because some people (me being of them) don't feel the need to change their title when they're promoted.

Because either they haven't updated their title, or they see no reason to.

"Moderator" is often used as a loose term to cover all the mods, managers, and admins.

Well, moderating forums at the Jedi Council isn't my job...

    ...it's my adventure.

Is that why many a times Managers have the title of Moderator? I always wondeed why they had that when thier Profile said otherwise. :)

Perhaps mods could put the boards they mod in their bios and that way you don't have to hunt down their titles.

Yeah, that would be a good idea, I think.

Is another "forced" measure really necessary? The forums that the Mods moderate are listed in one of the threads in the Informational Threads forum. I think it wouldn't be too hard to hunt down such a thread. Alternatively it would be only 2 additional clicks to see one of their posts, and thus the forums that they moderate.

Yes I have seen that title they have when an admin sends me an e-mail. It says the mod squad which gets me thinking that a mod gives me my own password when I forget it! [face_shocked]

No more Istari, and no more Manglers. :_|

I hate you Kadue. I hate your guts. I want you to die a horrible death involving ravenous piranhas, evangelical Christians, and a falling piano.

I thought Vert established that rule after the first day titles were available. (Not counting the title given to dp for a while)
