Yes, and on special occasions they were allowed to be changed (I think?).

 

Technically, it's been in effect for a while, but it's now actually being followed by 100% of mods. In other words, there aren't any mods out there whose jobs couldn't be determined from their titles.

I think the title is in general adequate. Having mods claim in their profiles that moderating here is their "job" will just cause proliferation of the number of questions we get from newbies about how much we get paid to mod here.

It'd be easy to just add a line to your bio, example: "Moderator __________ Forum" or something at the top of the bio.

 

That really is a lot of work though.

Other than the code updates you're inquiring about, our profile has the level, our titles have the specifc forum, and several informational threads have our titles all broken out.
