Just to let everyone know Advanced Tickets for Goodrich Theaters (Capital 8 in Jefferson City & Forum 8 in Columbia) go on sale tomorrow Friday the 22nd. I know the Hollywood is much much cooler but the other theaters are still good. I am not going to buy an because I can see movies at both Goodrich for free and will probably see ROTS 2 days early.

we should all buy advanced tickets for the same showing. i know i'm doing a midnight showing with my buddies. i'm still trying to talk them into joining us. anyway, maybe we should let the initial exciting viewings be a personal time to be with family and friends, and then all meet up for a contemplative viewing the next week at a non-popular showtime?

The Jeff City theater won't be remodeled until late this year so they arent up to par to the forum but they are still good.

I'd love to see this like I did AOTC, ALL DIGITAL DLP!. IT was incredible.

A new theatre opened in the KC area around December. It is called the Dickinson Palazzo 16. It's not DLP, but it is THX Certified.

Granted that's a decent drive but depending on your Star Wars dedication, you can hit the road, meet up with the KC Fans, and enjoy a good theatre. Tickets were still available today on MovieTickets.com.

If you haven't read about the Palazzo, check it out, it's very cool. (I'll be testing them on the 4 restroom cleanings per hour!)

I considered driving to stl or kc for full digital, but my schedule won't allow it for the midnight showing. i'll try and do it before it's out of theatres, though.

are they going to have an IMAX release this time around? that was supreme with AOTC. i'll drive many miles for that kind of fun.

;) It's actually a very good theatre. We'll be catching the 12:01am show, then a noon-ish show followed by The Feast, a food court sized buffet :D

As far as a digital theatre, I think there is one in Olathe, KS. For the IMAX experience, I imagine they'll do like with AotC and show it in the Sprint IMAX at the KC Zoo.

That was weird  It won't even let me edit. Here's my full post:

(weirdness! It won't let me post anything with markup codes)

"Granted that's a decent drive but depending on your Star Wars dedication, you can hit the road, meet up with the KC Fans, and enjoy a good theatre."

I'm an example of such a fan :D In keeping with a ritual first established with the Phantom Menace, and continued with Attack of the Clones. I'll be catching it with a bunch of my friends at the Ameristar Casino in KC. It started as a brilliant idea: of course folks will be skipping work to catch Star Wars, but no one wants to be caught doing so at a casino! ;) It's actually a very good theatre. At my local theater the person that is building up the movie is going to call me as soon as the prints arrive so I can go in there and watch it as soon as it is done.

I've got tickets for the 9am showing on the 19th at Hollywood 14. Wish I could have done the 12am, but that just doesn't work for me.
