i figure it would be good to have an advice thread going for anyone who is making anything.


having said that...
where can i find yellow led's for my brothers jawa costumes??

 

two questions;
What kind of LED would you like?
How do you plan to mount it?
If you're looking for something possibly simple, go along with some amber luxeons. I'll order some in for you if you'd like.

 

Have you tried Electrozad? there's one at 275 Colborne St. 667-1442 and at Industrial Rd. 452-3444.
Or you could try Bates on Industrial Rd.

 

I think luxeons would be too bright, and would just show up as points of light. If you could get some old flashlight reflectors, you'd have more of the crystally look, and would make regular LEDs a lot brighter. Luxeons are expensive anyway.

 

There is a sweet electronics supply shop on Matheson just off Dixie, called Sayal Electronics ( http://www.sayal.com )... The website isn't so great, but the shop I refer to is like a candy store for geeks... and it's cheap there...

I know it's far for your group to go... but... if you do get the chance... it will have what you want... or the stores beside it will... lol
