After NJO

Are there plans for what happens after the final book of the series? Or does it all just... stop? And does the end of the NJO necesarrily mean the defeat of either the NR/rebels or the Yuuzhan Vong? Perhaps its just the end of the Jedi.

 

Noone knows... well, outside of official circles anyway...

 

I was just wondering if there had been any leaks. I know there probably arent but hey its worth a try.

 

as far as i know dell ray has said nothing about their post NJO plans..... , however, my guess would be primarily prequel books

 

Hopefully some books will be set after NJO (unless the Vong win).

 

What about the Chiss? Aren't the Chiss fighting unknown things worse than people can imagine on their fringe of the galaxy?

I'm sure there is scope for development there. But as far as I know, Lucas had envisioned the SW Saga as 3 trilogies, the first being about Ben Kenobi and ANakin, the second about Luke and the redemption of Anakin and the third is probably NJO/Zahn stuff.

But I agree, there is a lot of scope for prequel era development.

 

Actually, the basic concept for Episodes VII-IX would take place approx. 40-45 ABY. (NJO is 25-30 ABY). It was to revolve around Luke turning his son back from the dark side.
