    NOTE: WildWookiee is to be the GM of this RPG. The next session to the RPG, Apocolyspe: From Dust to Dust . The original Apocolypse, was started last year in July, and had stopped being posted in. I courageously "bumped" it, and some of the former players came to see what the deal was. Players, new and old, may play in this game, since many of the former players have long since dissapeared.



    Background Scroll: The Galaxy is in shambles. After the serious offensive from the Yuzhan Vong, the New Republic was reeling. The Empire, sensing an opprotunity to advance, moved forward and began occuping the worlds of the broken New Republic. The Battle between the two rivals grew increasingly ugly and brutal...with each side ahniliating eachother. From Dust all things are born...and to dust, all shall return.

    The Galaxy is leaderless...clans of smugglers and pirates rome the space lanes, which crime syndicates offer "protection" for, but at a high price.

    Never in all known history has the Galaxy been like this. All known Jedi are dead, having lost their lives to old age and war. Now, the fruits of that war lay before everyone...a lawless, orderless anarchy of society.

    Description of Game This Roleplay is post NJO era. There is no Empire, nor Republic...nor even Yuuzhan Vong, though cells of all three might still remain. The galaxy is controlled by Darwinist laws...survival of the fittest.

    The Rules:
    No GM'ing. Violaters will be punished at the GM's descression

    Force Powers are limited...very few force charicters are around, and even if there are, there is no formal Jedi training. GM will decide what the limits of the Force are

    No large fleets. The only organized groups out there are Pirates. Their fleets consist of poorly maintained old battle ships. There will be no uber command ships like SSD's or Eclipse class SSD's...nor will there be any hi-tech warships.

    Charicters must be realistic. These are hard times. People have to kill to survive, money is scarce.

    Death happens...admit it and go on your way. You can post again under another charicter, but there will be no roll over on status. If you have accumulated a large following of smugglers or pirates, then when you come back, you do not get to automatically be in charge of them again...you can join them but then the GM must decide where on the food chain of command you are.

    THE GM
    The GM will not play in the game...except for being the Crime Syndicate.
    The GM will control fate...can throw in mechanical problems, acts of God, will rule on weapons hits and so forth.
    the GM is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful, and once they have spoken, then the issue is over.

    These scoundrels work for the highest bidder. Running anything from slaves to weapons, many of these charicters die young. Do you have the guts to take on jobs against the Crime Syndicate? can you survive frequent pirate attacks, and make it to your destination in time for payment?


    Pirates
    Pirates prey off of the weak and stupid. These scalawags attack shipments, smugglers, and never take prisoners. They also lend out their services for payment, and can sometimes be seen destroying certain fleets of ships. HOWEVER, be wary when dealing with them...their word is never good enough.


    (SMALL) factions of Empire, Rebel, Yuuzhan Vong
    These are individual groups out there that remember the old days. They wish to have order restored throughout the galaxy, but have no resources with which to make a huge dent. All they can do is hope that one day, their cause will grow, and once again a government will form over the Galaxy


    Crime syndicates - can only be played by GM

    I was thinking of joining this original game a couple days ago but saw how many posts there were and decided against it. So I'm kinda glad its restarted. Though I do have a couple questions. I'll ask WW over AIM or PM later.

    Btw, WW, you could say from the background discription, this could be a post WOTG RP. The NR is dead, the Yuzzies are dying and the Empire is walking the path toward death.

    Biography: Shad Ho Lu resented being forced into the menial role of a "merchant". He hated the galactic govornments for destroying his way of life, and he also hated the Crime Syndicate for keeping the galaxy in a state of poverty. He works to stay alive and to find a way to try to help the citizens of the galaxy. When he is not smuggling, he is scavenging through old battle grounds and destroyed ships in hope of finding something which could help him. He has a large aray of repaired machines and droids aboard his vessel, and uses them to keep it in working condition.

    Biography: A staunch Imperial officer utterly loyal to ideals of the Empire, Lucius was born in the Corprate Sector but emigrated at the age of 14 to the Empire. Lying about his age he managed to enter the academy and work his way up to a VSD bridge crew, where he remained until it's loss some years ago. Since then he has wandered across the Outer Rim seeking Imperial loyalists to help him rebuild the Empire - or at least carve out a territory dedicated to Imperial ideals. He has no desire to rule himself, but if he felt he had a duty to he would.

    Biography: Born 23 years ago to a family that was ravaged by the Yuzzhan Vong. After the Republic Crumbled, his family was enslaved by the Vong, later freed, then betrayed by the Empire. With no where to go and the only surviving member of his family, Belivas turned to smuggling.

    Partner: A droid. It has the head and neck of an old C-series, the torso of an R7 unit, and the legs of a Gonk power droid. While this provides many advantages, as the droid is well versed in all things protocol, repair, language and astronavigation, it has some disadvantages too. The three parts of droids rarely agree on what to do, although the R7 droid usually wins rather quickly, somethimes by hacking his fellow droids. Also, it is truly one of the most obscure things you might ever see. It's designation is, creatively, C-R7-G, but it goes by the name Sarge.

    Goals: Numero Uno is surviving. A close second is $$.

    YouAgain I don't think you are allowed to have a jedi character. Jedi's don't have much use in this game anyway. It's better to be a pirate or a smuggler. But ask WW.

    Biography Averri Lesia was never told of her parents; she never knew them. She was found on the streets by a man named Hanu, who took her in and cared for her as his own daughter. He died, and she was soon an orphan again. Barely fourteen, she took a job as a bartender for a short while, and then was offered the prospect of smuggling by a young stranger. She accepted, and she became his partner. Three years later, he was killed by a remnant of Yuuzhan Vong. She still smuggles, though she is alone once more.

    Biography Ex-Colonel Gregory Artemis Thane-Veers was once the proud son of his foster father, Major General Maximilian Veers and a well respected officer of the Imperial Armed Forces. In the beginning he grew up on the hostile streets of Coruscant as a thief and a lower member of one of the infamous gangs in the lower levels. Until he crossed paths with the Major General shortly before the man's own son had betrayed him and the Empire by defecting to the Rebellion.

    Veers was too upset and angry with his own son's growing descention in opinion with the Empire, to deal with a street urchin and had tried to send the boy to an orphanage. The orphanage failed to keep Gregory and he once again ran off into the lower levels. But ever since his encounter with the General, he had been keeping track of the famous Imperial and grew to admire the man.

    When Veers son betrayed both him and the Empire, his own grief allowed him to finally accept the annoying child that had a nasty habit of sneaking into the palace to talk to Veers when he visited Coruscant. Veers noticed an unusual amount of loyalty and devotion in the boy and realized the potential the teenager had within him.

    Once Gregory became the legal adult age, he was sent off to the Imperial Academy on Carida. There he followed in the footsteps of his foster father and made sure he conned his way into the General's lecture classes when ever the man visited Carida. When he graduated from the Academy, he received a Lieutenants commission into the Armored Assault Division. After a few battles against the New Republic, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned to his foster father's command.

    Rumors fly around Gregory that his promotion to Major then to Lt. Colonel was the doing of General Veers due to their family relationship. Though his records tell otherwise.

    When the Reborn Emperor returned and General Veers was sent to the Deep Core to train and command the Emperor's men, Gregory was busy in the Outer Rim causing descent and unrest among the Republic worlds. When word reached Gregory of General Veers demotion, humiliation and death at Balmorra; he had forsweared feality to the Reborn Emperor's Dark Empire and found himself under the command of Admiral Gilad Pellaeon.

    During the war against the Yuuzhan Vong, Gregory was finally promoted to the rank of Colonel and it became his last promotion he would ever receive again as the Galaxy fell apart around him. Now he lives as an undercover Imperial agent trying to revive the New Order and make a living off of the goods he steals from other ships as a pirate.

    And now...


    The Galaxy is in shambles. Economies on many worlds have crashed, leaving starving and broke inhabitants.


    The Crime Syndicate, which has controlled most of the galaxy for the past decade has destablized. Several Generals have broken off from the main cartel and begun their own organizations. This group is namless and faceless. Currently there is a territory dispute. The ancient Correllian Trade Spline has come under the eyes of the rulers of the Galaxy again as being the main byway of trade through most systems...whoever controls that route, controls the Galaxy.


    OOC: OK, since it seems that the divides that I have setup don't equal out, everyone is going to have to back one side or the other. Use your unique skills to help. I'm a GM, so I'll not play...except to be the head of the Crime Syndicate. I'll need someone to head up the rebel faction, and I'll allow you players to choose the person. This person should be intellegent, a veteran in RP'ing, and should have the charisma and dedication of a GM...because when I'm not around, he or she will be in charge. Alright, let's start playing.

    well, this is an assistant GM...they'll be my counterpart. We need to have a conflict, and this is the best way to do it.

    We need one person to direct the oppsosite team, and I vote for Band of Brothers. From there, the players will choose which side they serve, and we'll play. If one side is heavier than another, I'll simply reassign. is this any clearer?
