The closest of all new characters to breaking the top 10 for me is Kylo/Ben and TLJ definitely helped get him higher up the list. I love that he hesitated on shooting the bridge. And his best rage yet was having all those walkers fire on Luke.

Yoda, Luke and R2-D2 have always been my top three. I support how TLJ handled all three of these characters. Though for a brief moment during the first viewing I was doing the unthinkable (to me) during a SW film... I was fuming! Luke tossing the lightsaber over his shoulder didn't bother me. I'm an open minded guy. I can accept he is upset about failing his nephew. And I absolutely agreed with Luke's lesson one to Rey. But the outright unthinkable rage came when we had only heard Kylo's point of view on what happened in the hut and not yet heard Luke's point of view. Once we heard Luke's version it made sense, and later when Luke got to say his line about no one ever being too far gone I was far happier. On second viewing I got to enjoy Rey entering the dark cave better. The first time I was absolutely fuming because Kylo's point of view was shared before the cave scene and Luke's point of view was shared after. I was like, are you kidding me, you can't imply that Luke unlearned what he learned and embodied at the end of the RotJ! They hired this guy to make a new trilogy!?!?! He's practically blank blankety blanking the ending of RotJ, you just don't do that! Then we got Luke's explanation and I calmed down. Cheeky Rian Johnson, he had to know he was going to get some feathers ruffled there for a minute. But it's not all elbow jabs, sly winks, and "you got me there for a sec Rian Johnson" because I do think while he did great with the above mentioned characters he somewhat dropped the ball on Finn, Rey, and Poe. Don't even get me started on Snoke.

I want to like Finn, Rey, and Poe more but we need more characterization and time with them together! They needed to not go 3 separate ways. That was not the greatest design choice. Here's hoping Episode 9 can cover a lot of ground in short time to make up for this.

There's one character that TLJ actually makes go down on my list: Maz. She was great in TFA but her use in the TLJ was ridiculously extraneous.

Honorable Mention: K-2SO! And I do like how Hux reached for his gun until Kylo stirred.

Of the one's remaining? Only Kylo Ren is really interesting. Maybe Poe? But, his arc in this film was pretty terrible. Finn is comic relief, and largely wasted. Same goes for Hux. Rey? She doesn't actually feel like a character to me. Rose? An actively awful character.

All of my favorites are gone.

Top ten list aye? Sort of drifting off the site again. Like most Star Wars fans I think there's always a boom to come here and see what the hardcore fanbase thought of the latest flick(or maybe for bluray info.).

I don't think people would like my top ten. I'm not sure I could list only ten, either.

This movie basically left me in such a state of confusion and dissatisfaction that I can't even choose. I loved Rey, Finn, and Poe in TFA yet I hated them in this movie. So far the ST has also damaged Luke Skywalker who was also my favorite character until now.

TLJ has removed Rey from my top 10. However, Ben Solo is much closer to being inside of it now. None of the other new ST characters even enter my top 20.

Some appreciations:
- The first 4 characters have been changing positions since the beginning, but they are clearly the most loved ones.
- Rey is clearly liked by almost everyone, she has been top-5 since the beginning too. She is the most liked character from the ST by far.
- The new characters from The Last Jedi didn't leave a mark. Rose and Holdo only have 4 points so far, and Snoke only 9.
- The robot category is won so far by R2. BB-8, K2 and 3PO are very far of him with 34, 31 and 30 points respectively.
- Some of the surprises: with only appearing in 1 film, Qui-Gon has 75 points. More than Poe, Finn, Jyn, Boba Fett, Lando and another fan-favorites.
