I'm growing more and more excited for the release date on this book, although I am a little disappointed from the tweet recently posted by the Star Wars Lit account that the present tense style remains. I've read Aftermath twice and enjoyed it significantly more on the second go-round, but the writing style just doesn't work for me. Oh well.

That said, now that we know who Temmin becomes, I'm far more interested in his story. It's going to be great to see Han and Chewie together post-Endor and I'm certainly excited to see how many times Norra blacks out at the end of chapters

I'm not in Aftermath for Norra to be fair, it's all about the Ravager, Sinjir, Rae, Jas and the Admiral for me. Not in order, incidentally.

Its the year of Leia. I'm not even mad. I fully expect the novel to follow the Wexleys and Co but getting some good Leia stuff in between will make this worth my purchase no matter what.

I was hoping a scene like the one we just experienced would pop up down line, certainly not this soon though. Leia feels her baby through the force and I'm all verklempt.

I love that while it recalls thematically similar scenes in Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy with the JJ Twins, here in A:LD, with little Ben, it is very much it's own thing. I enjoy them both.

It does, doesn't it? And we got a Thrawn-like Admiral working in the shadows and a Grand Admiral Rae Sloane (Pelly 2.0) as the front women....oh, I just love were this is going.

I was already having a hard time waiting for this book; that excerpt was fantastic. I'm loving Leia's larger role in the NEU and am happy this book will have her POV. I do hope her and Mom Mothma's interaction is in the book, I want more political scenes.
