Yeah, "bothered" is too strong a word for me, too. More like "what the...?"

Well, she has spent 600 years in prison. She might have missed a few technological developments.

Specifically, under LokOdin's orders to bring her back alive. Could be nothing, could be a plot point for a future Loki/Thor movie.

I'm sorry, but this show still bugs me. If it works for others, more power to them, but it's not doing much for me at this point.

After more than a dozen episodes in from Whedon, whose programs I'd never watched before *ducks thrown shoes*, I can say that: a/there will be Overheard Conversations, and not in a spy fashion, but in a soap fashion b/lots of very Pretty People, and c/jolting changes of direction for characters, pleasingly. So, since this is my one and only TV show to follow *outside of Pat and Vanna and Alex!*, I'm happy to have chosen this one to follow. Now I'm trying to think of reasons to quit watching it, but so far, nothing comes to mind.

Also, it helps to have read Marvel's stuff as a kid *points to icon*

Regarding Ward's, "idiot ball moment", I'll preface it as if everyone did everything logically and without problems, the show would be only twenty minutes long. And not as interesting.

Not in this case- if he had acted logically, the gun probably wouldn't have done anything to an Asgardian (except maybe briefly faze her) and she probably would have overpowered him, made physical contact and gained control of him.

He just wouldn't have looked like an idiot in the process and it wouldn't have seemed like an obligatory event.

Agreed with T2Q here. Also, it wasn't so much illogical, but out-of-character for Ward.

BTW, anyone else facsinated by the decision to use Lorelei and not Amora?

Ward held back a punch to the blonde who slashed him in TRACKS, before popping her one, and maybe Lorelei got this consideration, however illogical in a life and death battle, too.

"We're done here," May says to Ward at ep's end, on two levels. UH-oh ...

If a plot can be resolved in twenty minutes if people use an ounce of logic, then maybe the plot needs revision :p

We wouldn't have most great movies/tv shows if that was the case. In nearly all cases fiction requires you accept characters not do the most logical action for the sake of continuing the story.

If you don't allow and expect character stupidity your left with Abed's horror story from Community being every fictional story.

I don't think that's true. There are plenty of good stories, both classic and contemporary, where characters actions are legitimately driven by the limitations of their own perspective in terms of available information and biases. Having to resort to "well the character was being stupid" is a sign of weak story-telling. All it requires is a bit of attention to characters.

So I guess I can see why an MCU production would have such trouble with it, then.

"He may try to kill me, but he won't." Nice badass quote from May.

I liked the displays of super strength while fighting normal humans though the blows inflicted would have flat out killed the recipients. But hey, comic book violence and all.

ICE bullets so they can subdue without killing but still use guns? Ok, cool.

I liked May vs Ward fight moe than Lorelei vs Sif.

There is no reason for Sif to call it a "flying boat". I'm sure she knows what it is, given her travels and other worldy experience.

Sif's overall guest star appearence was good but not particularly epic. Though at the same time it is Agents of SHIELD and nto Agents of SHIELD starring this week's guest star. Still, I am mixed on having say Captain America do anything but be the most important thing int he show if they decided to have him show up.

    Next week..."Assembling a Universe"...can't wait!

Also nice to see them pulling from the Hulk corner of the MCU, given how it is overlooked mostly compared to Cap, Thor or Stark.

Actually I'm not sure they quite knew what the gun was going to do. Fitz said he tweaked it with Deathlok in mind so it was made for the stronger/super hero types.

I think y'all just don't like when the males are susceptible to something or someone :p

There's been enough female stupidity on Sky's part in this show let us have Ward being an idiot for once.
