Why are some of you calling Skye Daisy? You're alligning yourselves with crazy Cal

 

Skye's fight scene was amazing. But I couldn't help but feel that the AoU connection seemed gracelessly forced.

 

I dunno. I know the AoU spoilers already so for me the connections made more sense to me. Not sure if knowing AoU beforehand improves the viewing or going in blind does.

 

I don't think it'd matter since there's been a build towards going after Von Stucker since he was first mentioned in the show. Building up that he was a growing threat was a smart move and help lay the foundation for that ending and the start of the film.

Though I would have preferred seeing the teaser from Raina's point of view. Not the clip, but the montage of scenes.

 

It's not really forced, and it picks up on something that isn't mentioned at all in the film.

 

Also, Hydra took Deathlok's eye and leg. Why do I feel they did that because a talking racoon told them he really needed those two things...

 

The AoU preview had Black Widow riding a cycle with Cap's shield on the handlebars.

Do they really need one? If they have the quinjets and a decent ground base, what do they need the Bus for any more?

Carriers do have a more 'SHIELD' feel to them though. And it is named Iliad which is the main one I've seen in the comics.

Still don't know why it's just a regular old aircraft carrier. You'd think Avengers would've left enough stock footage of it in the water and in air to make it another helicarrier.

Oh yeah also...what's with Skye's powers? A few episodes ago she could barely control them, and yet here we see her using her abilities with enough precision to revive a nearly-dead man.

 

It's clear time has been passing with the SHIELD vs. NuSHIELD stuff so Skye has been training with Jiyang as well as learning she can do things like the fractal-water stuff, so it also may have been more of a last-ditch "he's definitely gonna die if I don't at least try this" type of thing.

 

Pre-inhuman medical treatment, before her body was at war with itself adjusting to the new powers. Post medical treatment by the Inhumans her powers have become much more stable.

Coupled with training with Jiyang and her ability to learn and pick up new skills quickly it's not hard to imagine she'd have them controlled this quick.

 

So what was Theta Protocol, the items location?

 

99% sure AoU is the payoff for Theta Protocol

 

I seem to recall "Theta" is a symbol used for ressurrection.

 

Yes, I understand that. That wasn't really the question.

I'm about 99% certain that Theta Protocol is the new Avengers headquarters in upstate New York as well as the refurbished helicarrier. That fits with all the things we were told about Coulson and Theta Protocol in the show.
