But that would mean the end of the JAG universe. :p

Hasn't JAG been going on since the 90's though?

It ended in '05. But the universe includes First Monday, Jag, NCSI, NCSI: LA, and the new Hawaii Five-O. So if NCSI died Five-O will be all that left.

It should be pointed out that NCIS still pulls in more total viewers than AOS- AOS beat out NCIS in the key demo (which is still impressive and more important since that's the focus of ad revenue).

If NCIS dies, then Mark Harmon needs to become an Agent of SHIELD.

There was an article on io9 speculating about Coulson's cellist girlfriend showing up in AoS. I do not know how that addresses the writing and tone of the show, but hey :p

Am I missing something? No one thought it was odd there were twenty dudes in red masks wandering around Stockholm?

Gonna have to be careful to avoid spoilers, as I won't be able to watch until Wednesday

Guess the bad guys were not the guys in the red masks.

    Guess not.

Looks like next week will be a big week. We may get a look into May's past and Skye maybe busted based on the promo for next week.

Kind of an average episode. Nothing terrible, but not spectacular, either.

I would rank it as the second best with last week's episode above it.

This is starting to get frustrating.

Fitz and Simmons say that the eye is unlike any technology they've ever seen and indicate that it's pretty advanced. That and Stark tech sure. But does that mean an LMD is definitely too advanced and should be ruled out? (I HOPE!) Yet that last line about "What they did to Coulson" Did she x-ray him? Or was it a personality change she noticed?

Also, May continues to be awesome. And Ward is getting better.

My guess for what's on the blackboard tonight is that someone got a hold of Chitauri tech after the battle of New York before S.H.I.E.L.D. did and they're trying to reverse engineer it. Could also be something future tech that got sent back in time. I just hope this plotline doesn't get dropped before we find out the answer.

The only thing I could think of when they were investigating the train:

    "What's that, bean juice?"
    "Human bean juice."

    Also, wouldn't

knowing the basic features and functions of a gun be the very first thing you study in weapons training?

The night-night gun has got to be a literal Chekov's gun.

    Skye has SLG eyes.

I have been pleased by this show so far but it needs to pick up.

Is that to be Sunfire in the next episode? That's a step in the right direction. Need more superheroes. I don't really need the show to drown in superheroes or turn into a Superhero Of The Week show but this is Marvel Universe.

Looks like we'll also see Skye busted as an infiltrator next week as well.

Yeah, I loved the blatant lack of subtlety in the ad.

Anyone else unsettled a little by those guys (scientists?) who acted wicked chill when Ward burst into the room with the chalk boards? Brainwashed? Robots?

This episode wound up being pretty enjoyable for me, but there's a moment where they're basically doing a Bat-deduction that kind of flopped in my eyes. Plus there wasn't any real resolution, so I'm hoping the show will stop teasing mysteries and start actually exploring them.

    "Are you sure it's her?"
    "I should be...I trained her."

I think my eyes rolled out of my head during that exchange.

Skye nicknaming Coulson was pretty cringe-worthy.

Yeah, I'm gonna make the past-Whedon show connection. Skye is basically River Tam if she were sane. And people think she physically resembles Eliza Dushku? Nah, resembles Summer Glau way more.
