I really hope Ward becomes the running villain of season two. They need a good overarching villain they can give screentime to and go back to over and over again, and whatshisface comes cheaper than Bill Paxton. I think the best option for the show is to make Ward the recurring main villain of the show. It would be a waste to resolve him this season, especially if it's just to stick him back on the team.

Suicide-due-to-alien-infection seems a little outside being a foreseeable part of her mission if she were.

Looks like May and Phil patched things up. And they're at Cybertek. Either for Deathlok or possibly because they had a hand in T.A.H.I.T.I. per a conversation with Maria?

Given J. August Richards (Mike/Deathlok) is listed as a guest star in this ep, I'd say Deathlok is a high possiblity.

Villains are always better when there's some sort of connection to the heroes or they make it personal. As such, Ward should probably be a villain for a while.

I'm guessing Ward doesn't survive the episode?

Caused by...whatever the hell Skye is doing to him in that position.

She looks like she's trying really, really hard.

Easy. Ward has a broken heart, and Skye is not letting go in order to mend it. Ward is good!

Although that's a very intentionally looking Hydra like hair style for Skye.

I would be much happier with Skye as Hydra then with Ward as a Triple Agent. Not I think either will happen, mind you.

    So...

I think we can rule out Pierce as being behind Coulson's return, but it is someone that has the same rank as Pierce. Or higher. I don't recall anything about Phil being a legacy like May and Trip.

with Nick Fury "dead", and Maria Hill working for Stark Enterprises, does this mean we will see Tony Stark as the de facto director of SHIELD in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

Or does that title pass on to Cap?

There is no more SHIELD. That's what the last few episodes have been hammering (no pun intended) us with...

Right, but that doesn't change what could happen at the end of the film.

It will be back in some form or fashion. Samuel L. Jackson still has three movies left in his contract.

Probably as a free agent in Age of Ultron. They wouldn't demolish SHIELD just to have it back in the next movie. It might be back, but I doubt it's going to be any soon.
