That didn't stop them from taking a kill shot on Blizzard though, and he wasn't even in Hydra

 

Yes, he was.

Maybe not willfully with Hydra. But through brain washing, he was with Hydra.

 

But if shooting a brainwashed Hydra person is fine... why is killing a willing Hydra agent problematic?

 

Oh come now, Blizzard was an ice-man and stuff, he'll be fine!

 

Yeah he'll be back, but they still think they've killed him.

 

90% probable it was a totally intentional kill shot. But still holding out for 10% "Hey, we knew he'd be fine, he's gifted and ice and stuff".

 

I don't know, it seemed pretty clear with the conversation about killing earlier that this was supposed to be Skye's first kill and her showing she could actually take a life and keep going like normal. I mean Blizzard will probably come back but it seemed clear Skye thought she shot to kill.

 

ah, tru dat. So Skye didn't get her first kill after all. So her first kill is going to end up being probably some random HYDRA agent she'll end up plugging on a mission.

 

Or her first kill is Ward.

 

Threat to SHIELD, don't kill. Threat to the world, kill. Just a theory.

Is it just me or did they just namecheck Bessie?!?

So far every new character, including Tripp since he came in towards the end of last season, is more entertaining then the original main cast.

Shows better than last season for sure, but I can't really say anything is bringing me back each week to watch it. It's the show I watch on Tuesday.

 

So they are going to air the trailer for Age of Ultron with next weeks episode

LOVE that Coulson called Raina's bluff. Pretty much figured Mockingbird was Coulson's backup. No offense to Simmons, but as everyone said, she is a terrible liar. Also love that they addressed a few things, she's Hunter's ex and she dyed her hair for the mission. Great that she had her signature weapon and loved the Quinjet rescue by Trip.

More mysteries though as far as the obelisk. The real name is the 'diviner?' And Skye's dad can teach Whitehall how to survive it. Now that's creepy.

 

Also for everyone complaining about lack of female fan service, the trailer for next week has shirtless Ward doing pushups

That looks great. Glad the blue and white(grey) color scheme is still present. Now hope they just have her wear some high tech glasses.

I will say one thing this season has that greatly improved it is a deep roster of secondary and recurring characters. Season 1 it was the crew on the bus... and that was it. Fury and Hill appeared at the beginning and end but never felt more than guest stars when they needed to feel recurring like they would reasonably show up in any episode. But season 2 has been great in giving recurring villains and a large pool of recurring agents who aren't in the main cast.

 

Ha ha... the AV Club review brings up the point that they even had Palicki fly in an invisible jet just to flip-off DC / NBC some more... lol...
