Amph Agents of SHIELD Discussion Thread (and Slingshot)

It's really kinda hard to tell if it is a C.I.A. or S.H.I.E.L.D. logo. Though checking wikipedia, it says that they're C.I.A. agents recruited by Fury. So I'm half right.

 

I want to see Ward fight Punisher.

Interesting, why would Fisk be HYDRA? Wouldn't it get in the way of his acquiring power from the streets-up if he has to be subservient to a buncha Nazi cultists? Course if The Blind Lawyer from Hell's Kitchen ever caused too much of a ruckus, I guess Fisk could call in the big guns.

Interestingly, that's going to be an Ant-Man connection too!

 

This series got so badass.

 

Wow. This was great. The first episode that, IMO, I can say was great. That actually had the quality I was looking for.

Lot less camp, and really upped the darker tone. Which the show needed.

Really big jump in quality here. No other episode compares.

Hope the rest of the season is like this

I don't know why I didn't see that coming, but I didn't. I should have guessed, really.

And the preview: are they full on going Madame Masque?!? NICE!

 

That ending... Wow...

 

Yeah whoever wrote this one needs to write the rest of the series. This is what AOS should have been all along.

 

I expected the ending since I first saw the prisoner. But then I thought "oh, I'm totally wrong" so the series still managed to surprise me.

And Ward. WOW WARD WOW

 

So I take it SkyeDad knows it was Whitehall and his alliance is just to get close to him... and Ward is going to take down Whitehall to please Skye. Whitehall needs better employee screening when he hires people.

Also I wonder how SHIELD's detente with the government will go with Christian gone.

 

One thing I'm immediately thinking of:

Ward seemed dead-certain he could bring Skye to her father. And now that we know Maximus the Ma-- Skye's dad wants both Coulson and Whitehall dead for different reasons, who wants to bet that Ward and Skye's dad are in cahoots on that side, playing Whitehall against Coulson until they can take them both out and that side, both wanting Skye out of love, ends up on their own side of the plot?

If the city doesn't end up being Attilan (and I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to keep that for, you know, the movie), it better be one of the other Inhuman cities recently introduced in the comics, because everything is screaming INHUMANS!!! in here. They can't be trolling this hard, can they?

 

No, it's totally that. They basically got all of their trolling out of the way for the first 60% of Season One...

 

One of their best episodes yet.

Favorite line: "I can't argue a man into suicide" "Clearly you've never been in an argument with yourself then."

Loved Peggy's cameos. Loved that we saw Skye's mom - was pretty clear where that's going. But now we know that Skye's dad knew what he was doing going to Whitehall. That should be interesting. I do wonder though: Where do we go after this? Whitehall is not long for this world. I fully expect the "doctor" to kill him soon enough. So do we march toward Ultron then? Do we see the birth of the 'miracles' which are actually inhumans? SHIELD has been building to this plotline for a long time now and I honestly have no idea where they will go after this. And I really like that.

Also, love Coulson's elaborate plan to create the EMP.
