    Section 1: Organization name
The name shall be: Arkansas Star Wars FanForce: Arkansith Galactic Renegades.

    Section 2: Purpose
The purpose of the Arkansas Star Wars FanForce: Arkansith Galactic Renegades (henceforth known in these by-laws as ?The AGR?) is to provide an outlet, both actual and online, for Arkansas area fans to come to celebrate Star Wars, thereby creating a brotherhood where fandom may flourish.

    Section 1: Eligibility
Membership shall be open to any Star Wars fan regardless of age, race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, or economic status. However, minors under the age of 18 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian accompany them at AGR events and meetings at the discretion of the meeting/event host and/or the AGR Administration.
    Section 2: Membership fees
Membership fees are 12.00 per year. These can be paid in full during January, monthly, or whatever works best for a member. Dues will be used to help offset the costs of having a membership t-shirt (so we look like a cohesive group at events where we're not in costume) and advertising (business cards and such).

    Section 3: Member Rights
    I. Members are eligible to vote in club elections and quorums, fill both elected and appointed club positions (after certain eligibility conditions outlined in Article III have been met) and attend all club functions, both private and public.

II. Members reserve the right to inspect any public documents pertaining to the function of the organization, minutes, and memos relating to the AGR.

III. Any member, with the support of two other members, may call for a special meeting or quorum, either online or in person, in regards to the operation or administration of the AGR. The purpose of such emergency meeting or quorum may include, but is not limited to, the establishment of impeachment proceedings against an officer of the AGR or the removal of members, the call for special elections, and the call for an amendment of the AGR Bylaws or Code of Ethics.
Such a quorum may be held, with 5 days notice, may be held in person at a location chosen by the ones calling for the quorum. Please refer to Article V and Article III: Section 4 for further information.

IV. Any member may call for a special meeting or quorum in regards to another members violation of the AGR code of ethics. (See Section 5: Subsection II below, as well as Section 6) Such a quorum may be held, with 5 days notice, at a location chosen by the ones calling for the quorum. Please refer Article V and Article III Section 4 for further information.

    V. Any member may host an AGR meeting or event at his or her home. The host holds the right to set the time and regulations for the event.

Section 5: Limitations and Requirements of Members
    I. Attendance: No attendance requirements shall be imposed on regular members. However, the AGR shall deem necessary minimum attendance requirements for officers of the organization. Said requirements will be set forth for each position in Article III: Officers and Administration.

II. Code of Ethics: Members shall be bound to the preceding code of ethics. Violations of the AGR Code of Ethics shall be punishable by suspension or revocation of membership.

As it has been pointed out...there are some errors and discrepancies in the by-laws...we need to fix them.

Please read them and let me know if there's anything else in them that needs to be fixed...
I'll put the things that have been pointed out up sometime tomorrow when I have more time...

But, please help get these fixed...

Well, we haven't looked at these it quite a while but I would like to point out that we all agreed to these as group members when we started up... Please note the following:

    III. Revocation of Membership

    a. Members who continually commit infractions of the code of ethics, or who commit infractions that carry a predetermined punishment set forth in the code of ethics, will have their membership revoked by the President or Vice President. Members who have had their membership revoked will be allowed one appeal, as outlined below in Section 7. Revocation of membership is permanent. Once a membership is revoked, it cannot and will not be reinstated unless overturned by the appeals process.

    b. If a member is removed from another fan group recognized by Lucasfilm Ltd. (501st, Rebel Legion, Jedi Assembly) for behavior that was improper enough to merit removal will also be removed from this group. (This will be looked at on a case by case basis by the current officers and they will determine if it is severe enough to merit removal from this group.)

IV. Failure to Abide by Suspension of Revocation

If a member who has been suspended or who has had membership revoked fails to abide by the revocation, then he or she may be subject to removal by law enforcement official from AGR events or other legal action.

we also need to make a few updates but will have a meeting soon to figure out how to work them in.

I hate to be this way, but we are allowed to play in the Lucas sandbox and that can go away at any time. We don't need people out there behaving in a way that can risk this. Or having behaved that way before. It's sad, but we have to be careful.
