Vampires as heartthrobs is waaay overdone, but vampires as animalian Eastern European demonic entities would probably still be cool if done right. A good writer who knows real vampire lore instead of going from Stoker/Nosferatu would probably do really well.

 

Mixed - I think it'd be cool but popularization and codification of some basic vampire tropes predates Stoker so I disagree with that particular clause, I suppose.
