I feel your pain. Forms was one of the things I could never get to work properly :( even with the help of someone who knew a lot more than me about web sites. Did you check the help section? It's surprisingly very helpful.

    Good luck!

You'll need to make sure that the server extensions are enabled wherever our page is hosted. Otherwise no form on the webpage would be usable to send data.

It'd make sense if you were doing web design. :p

And believe it or not, that was the simple version.

    Forms sending stuff via email?

    *shiver*

Have never got it to work. Never tried too hard unfortunately, always given up. Give me CSS problems and I'll (somtimes) work it out. Forms...erk!

Sorry! Even my students (who are often better at IT stuff than me) usually can't work it out. Usually better if you have server side stuff to handle it, but unfortunately not my field of expertise.

Passwords can either be done using SQL, or directly from the server, depending on the setup.

    Example:

Forums typically use an SQL database for all data, including passwords, but I have password protected directories and files on my webserver that are configured using a htaccess file.
