    Hi everyone,

    This is my first time posting in this forum...so, er, yes, I should introduce myself.

    My name is Irma, but I'm known among friends in RL and Online alike by my nickname 'Aimo', which is also my artist pseudonym. I've been a longtime fan of Star Wars since childhood, with watching the original trilogy being one of the fondest experiences I remember from that time. However, I haven't really been moved to do any SW art until in late 2003 after I played Knights of the Old Republic on my PC...after that, I've been cranking fan art on a regular basis.

    If you would like to see my art, please hop on over to my art web site at www.aimostudio.com. Most of the SW stuff in there consists of EU material, but I think I'll do original trilogy material soon.

    Anyways...below are three of my most recent fan arts:

    This is a KOTOR I fan art featuring the main cast of the game. Completely done in Photoshop.

    [image=http://aimostudio.com/gallery/images/063.jpg]

    Another KOTOR fan art featuring three lady jedis; Bastila Shan, Juhani, and my player character avatar.

    [image=http://aimostudio.com/gallery/images/065.jpg]

    My first fan artwork of KOTOR II, featuring The Exile (my player character avatar), Kreia, and Atton Rand.

    [image=http://aimostudio.com/gallery/images/067.jpg]

    Well, I hope you like 'em. Thanks for taking time to read this! Now I'm off to browse the other threads and enjoy the fan art :)

    Excellent work Aimo!
    I was specially impressed by the depth and shades of the characters and the overall composition. I know some artists don?t like to have their work compared to other styles, but is there an anime influence on your work?

    Welcome to the Fan Art forum, aimo! :) We're glad to have you aboard!

    I just recently purchased the first KOTOR(I know, I'm behind the times) and I'm not too familiar with the characters just yet, but your artwork is amazing. Very realistic looking and excellent composition. And you did all of this using Photoshop - those must have took a long time to create. I'm very impressed. :)

    These are great. Digital Art is my medium, and I can really appreciate your talent. Beautiful colouring, and I love the anime/cartoonish style to your characterisations. Simply beautiful.

    My only tip is use layers. They're very useful. Normally I pose on a seperate layer and draw the final lines over the top, but this is probably the wrong thread to talk about this is. Try the Tools & Techniques Thread. It ought to be on the Links above.

    Thank you for the welcome, everyone :) I'm glad that you like my work.

    Bail-Aquino: I know some artists don?t like to have their work compared to other styles, but is there an anime influence on your work?

    Yes. Anime has primarily influenced my style, but I draw my inspirations from both sides of the Pacific :) (In fact, I haven't seen anime in a LONG while...I just read manga now).

    darkstar55: you've inspired me 2 have a go at drawing my KOTOR charatcer

    That's wonderful! More KOTOR fan art is always good :)

    HanSolo29: And you did all of this using Photoshop - those must have took a long time to create.

    Well, for the cel-animation style artwork, they're pretty easy and fast to whip up. But the first painting took me a month to finish, considering that I had to switch to Photoshop because my Painter keeps crashing the PC :( But I guess there's a silver lining in that, since I found that Photoshop is actually fun to use for painting :)

    Darth-Vassago: Do you have other works you could display?

    The whole collection is up on my website, but I suppose I can post some of them here...

    The kiss scene that was robbed off us female players near the end of KOTOR. Hehehehe!

    I'm also a freelance comic artist, and a long-time comics fan, so naturally I've done SW KOTOR-related fancomics (Can't match the hilarity of Diary of a Crazed Mimbanite, but I try...). Below are recent ones of KOTOR II, and I've picked the ones w/o spoilers (or very minor ones, depending how you look at it):

    Irresistable

    Amazing! LoL! I enjoyed those comics, they're very amusing, and very well done. And all your pictures are so well done. I assume that the woman in the KotOR pics is your chracter? Great job, I'm checking out your site now. All I can say is keep up the great work. :)

    Wow...there's more! I'm keeping an eye on you, certainly. You have a wonderful style, and an incredible ability to portray these characters. It doesn't really surprise me that you do it professionally! The colours are exquisite. I love Carth's expression in his portrait. Okay, so I think I'm heading to your website next. A good plan, I think... *darts off*

    Yay! I love your artwork! You can never have enough KOTOR fanart! Especially if it's in an anime style!

    Aimo, I LOVE THESE!!! Admittedly, I'm no fan of Anime style art, but these have a very strong personality within them. They're crisp, clean.... and no caffeine (ancient 7-up slogan)

    Great job!

    I agree with Cheveyo. I'm by no means a fan of anime, but your art is very promising. Excellent job all around - they really look great! :D

    I'm a big Carth fan ;)

    LOL at the comics! [face_laugh]

    I looked at the rest of your pictures, and all I have to say is great stuff arround the board! :)
