Is this true that Alec Guinnes asked George to kill Obi Wan because he hated it?
where can I find REAL proof of that and not just some 3rd class internet pages.

And if this is true and guinness hated it, why was he still in episode 5 and 6?

AFAIK, Alec Guiness nearly quit SW because Lucas decided to kill him off halfway through the movie.

    why should he do that?
so the death was not in the script an lucas decided that during the film?
why should he do that and where can I find proof for that?

If he wanted the character to be killed off because he hated the experience, why would he agree to appear in both sequels?

Just the opposite. Alec was angry that Lucas changed his mind and decided to kill off Ben. It was Harrison Ford who wanted Han Solo to be killed off in ROTJ.

Yes, it was Lucas' decision to kill the Obi-Wan character, and Guiness was upset to varying degrees depending on which version of the story you hear. Later, after Guinnes had become disenchanted with Star Wars, he invented the story that he had begged Lucas to kill his character because he couldn't stand reciting "that aweful dialogue" any longer.

Ford actually wanted Solo to die in ESB, he says so himself on EOD. Because he wanted Solo to die to help the others.

Lucas decided to kill off Ben in ANH, that's why he created the Yoda character. In his original story, Ben trains Luke. No Yoda.

Because the story didn't have anything for Ben to do during the second part of the movie. He was just standing there. So GL killed him impromptu like.

Read anything on the making of ANH, or Star Wars in general. The Annottated Screenplays are really good. Books, they are your friends.

Lucas did not want to kill off Luke. Not ever. He wouldn't even let the creators of the NJO book series kill him off 25 years after.

And once again, read a book.

The Anotated Screenplays are a good start.

If you have the OT on DVD, you can listen to the commentary. During ANH, Lucas explains exactly why he killed off Obi-Wan and how Alec was against it. Alec had nothing else to do plot wise and he didnt want people just standing around.

Yep. Lucas came to the realization that all Obi-wan would do during the dogfight was stand around and, unlike Threepio and Leia, having this vaunted Jedi knight standing around seemed extremely dull. Of course, these were before the days Obi-wan proving to be a pilot himself.

Given all the complaining Obi-wan does while flying during the PT, could you imagine a crankly old Obi-wan flying Luke's wing?

"Well, did you notice that the magnetic field is still up?"
    "Oh, I hate flying!"
"Oh, I'm too old for flying!"
    "Good shooting, my young pada...er...wingman!"
"Great...why are we flying down a narrow trench full of turrets and fighters on our tail?"
"Oh, great...we have a Sith Lord on our tail!"
"Did I mention I hate flying?"
"You mean I don't have to use a hyperspace add-on device on this fighter? I've been out of it for a long time!"

Personally I hated the decision to kill kenobi, as cool as Yoda is it would have been WAY cooler to have Obi Wan traning Luke through ESB and ROTJ. Plus then we could have had Obi Wan and Luke vs. Vader and Sidious. Yay tag team saber duels!

May the Force be with you,
