Alert help

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but:

I have alerts for my favourite users delivered to my hotmail account and I changed addresses recently and I haven't even had the confirmation e-mail I'm supposed to have and am no longer recieving the alert mails... can anyone help me, it is spelled correctly!

 

Hotmail dosen't mix well with snowboards.

 

Have you tried changing the e-mail address again and seeing if that works? Sometimes there are some problems with the automatic mail-out that we have, but trying again usually gets the results.

 

If I change it back to the other e-mail address it works but when I put the new one it it doesn't but I'll just keep trying I guess

Edit I changed it back to the original address and the confirmation mail came immediately but when I put in the new one nothing

 

Make sure that you're not blocking mail from your own address.

 

I don't know why it own't work. I did it on another snowboard and got banned and can't get them to stop sending me post notifications.

 

Snowboards + Hotmail = Technical hell.

Try using a Yahoo account.

EDIT: While we're at it, does anyone know how to set my Hotmail account to allow PM notifications to come into my Inbox with my junk mail filter set to exclusive?

 

Yes, put your email address in your allowed list. Because the boards will send you an email that says it's from you. If you don't allow your own address, it won't work.

 

Hmm, I thought I had myself in my allowed list. Oh well - I'll check and see if that works. Thanks, Erik.

 

Or, set up a filter that sends anything with your own address straight to your inbox, since the allowed list can play up. (Hey, it's Microsoft, what do you expect?)

 

If anyone still needs their password and haven't gotten it, they can PM me with the username(s) they tried to create and the e-mail addresses they used to register.
