Pegg plays Dengar in TCW, FWIW.

I wonder if these are just random names thrown out there to give an example, if not it's interesting because I don't think there have been any rumors of Palpatine or Plagueis stand alone movies yet.

And oh god, not that damned 'family tree' that's been crapping up my Face book feed either...

Edit - it's just another fan blog with old news/rumors posted as new. The interview with Mark is nearly a month old yet being presented as from a few days ago.

As I said in the EU thread - the fraudulant menace himself (SS) has been very busy buying up Star Wars E7 related domain names and although this one is one of the few that doesn't link directly back to his site, go to the main page and you'll see a lot of fan twaddle....

Something Palpatine-related would be much appreciated by me.

We should institute "The Plagueis tax".

I would not be opposed to Pegg being in the new movies

I thought it seemed obvious Pegg would be involved somehow, considering his love of SW(OT) and his connection with JJ (thru the 2 Star Trek films)

It would seem a natural thing. Although, perhaps that's the basis for the rumor in the first place. It's an easy target. Who knows?

I don't see how this is interesting. Most of this article's rumors could have been written by simply looking at the thread titles on this forum and by using common sense.

The only thing I know Alfonso Cuaron from is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. As Harry Potter films go though PoA wasn't a bad one at all. It would be interesting to see Cuaron involved. We proably all know Pegg from stuff like Hot Fuzz. I have nothing against him and he is a good actor but I'm not sure how well Pegg would work in a Star Wars film. If they do use Pegg they need to give him a small role and he should be the comic relief element. Kind of like Jar Jar Binks but a million times better executed.

You'd better get yourself a mighty big sick bucket then!

Simon Pegg involvement may be as a screenwriter rather than as an actor. He is also a huge real life SW fan.

If he is involved, his involvement may be more behind-the-scenes with, perhaps, a little cameo somewhere thrown-in for good measure.

And he is the worst type that continually bashes something he professes to like.

Wow, it took him forever to say nothing. The words Alfonso and Cuaron were the most interesting parts of that "scoop".

He doesn't profess to like that movie, and he has nothing to prove to anyone

There are many fans just like him.

Wasn't Marketsaw the one who reported that their "sources" told them Lucas would be producing the new trilogy and that it wouldn't be released until after the 3D releases? Smells like BS to me.
