Alien language that you mistook for English.

What have you thought you heard come out of the mouths of our dear friends in AGFFA? When I was a lad, I thought Bib Fortuna said to R@, "Make chowder so goodie." How bout you?

 

It always sounds to me like Bib says "Pay Jabba no bother" at one point.

And the Jawas always seem to be saying "Bobbit! Bobbit!"

 

Actually, I think Bib did say that.

 

I swear one of the ewoks says "that guy's wise" jsut after C3PO talks to them.

 

I always thought it sounded like Jabba called Luke a "silly Jedi" after he fell in the Rancor pit.

 

Greedo: What are you chewing solo?

 

Bib: "Nay, Jabba no bargain"

Greedo: "Some bit a'late"

 

this is funny... you know one time when i was playing Jedi Knight Dark Forces II... in the first level when u come across the third rodian... he says the f-word. lol I swear..he says Mother f-word like lol... and then i had to shoot him with my rifle hehehe

 

I thought Jabba said "Teeny Jedi."

 

that's funny fox, i thought he said "feed me jedi"

 

At the Pit of Carkoon, I always thought Jabba said 'puny Jedi.'

 

How about alien language you mistook for Swedish?

It sounds excactly like the Jawas are saying "vi ska bada" (in ANH) which means "We are going to take a bath".

 

The Ewoks talk in english on the scene when C3PO first gets up,

Ewok1: "that guy's smart"
Ewok2: "boy are you sure" (or something like that)

it's just very funny everytime I hear it.

Another funny thing is that Jawas scream like Ewoks. Same scream.

When Jawas take R2 prisioner, and when Ewoks join the battle in Endor, same scream.

Also in ROTJ, Bib says something to Jabba when Luke's message is playing, the first part is Huttese the second part is english.

Bib:....he's no Jedi...

 

I think the Ewok actually says "That guy's wise."
I also thought Bib said "May Jabba no bother." The first time I saw ANH... I must have been 4 or 5... I thought Darth Vader's breathing was speech. I mistook his respiration as him saying "whop her", and I couldn't figure out why he kept saying it again and again...

 

The full Bib line (in english) is:

Bargain rather than fight? He's no Jedi!

So yeah, that second part was definitely 'He's no Jedi!'

 

I have read that the 2nd ewok is saying something like "Martin Short" after the "That guy's wise" line. I am sorry I can't post a link to where I read this; it was a long time ago!

I have always interpreted R2's whistles as language. You can almost make out what he's saying at times.
In that scene with 3PO in ANH, when 3PO says to R2, "No, I don't think he likes you at all." R2 replies in whistles that sound like he is asking, "Do you like me?" and then 3PO replies, "No, I don't like you either."
In the scene from ESB when Luke tells R2 that he's setting a new course, and he tells R2 they are going to Dagobah, R2 whistle/sighs, "Oh...the what?!" or at least it sounds that way to me!

I do hope someone else knows what I am talking about, otherwise I sound completely insane here.

I don't think this counts as a language but my buddy used to call Han's TonTon (spelling) "Rocky Rody" because that's what it sounds like when it's running.

The Twi'leks in Jabbas palace singing "nine to five"

 

I always hear spanish words when Jabba speaks.This is probably supposed to be english but in RotJ Bib Fortuna says "Heesa No Jedi"

 

As far as the Ewok lines go, I always heard this:

Ewok 1: That guy's wise.
Ewok 2: More than I am short!
