LA, CA All Collecting, All the Time!

My carpool buddy gave me a bunch of Burger King (I think) toys from 1996 today. I have them all at my desk.
I also picked up this weekend the one more part to my Jedi Council set. I just need one more to finish. I haven't been doing too many two runs lately though. I need to stop doing the online thing. It is taking the fun out of looking.

 

not finding anything, and rare figures, and varients, and 1 per case items take the fun out of looking.

 

It's the thrill of the hunt. My friend Mike who everyone met yesterday and I have booked Friday to skip out on a couple of hours of work to hit the stores in this area looking for the new preview figures.

Well, I couldn't help myself, I ordered the Darth Tater LOL. But I'm sad 'cause it doesn't look like there is going to be much Padme stuff. Guess the fanboys aren't into that. Oh well, I'll save some money this time!

Gentle Giant owes me!!!!! I just got my newest member of my Gentle Giant family. The Chewbacca/C-3PO statue. It is 16" tall and very nice.

 

Yeah, I guess not, Scott. It would be kinda weird . But I'd still like to see something official...

 

Well, I know its not exactly Star Wars, but I did acquire Master Replicas' Cursed Aztec Coin from Pirates of the Caribbean, and its really cool. I was going to show it off at Fudruckers, but that didnt pan out....

I know Ash I dont know where to begin! Hopefully imma start at the Episode III Anakin FX saber. I might just bust out a journey and clean up TOYS R US. lol

 

OK who got the e-mail from Code 3 about the AT-ST from ROTJ? But at $325 ($295 if you're a Guild member), these puppies are a little steep. But it is very cool-looking....

 

My "pusher" just got me the General Grievous Sneak Peek fig. I need help.

 

I now have 3 of the 4 Episode III Preview Figures. I'm missing Tion Meddon or whatever. Although I'm REALLY excited about Episode III and related merchandise. I can't get over the fact that these figs retail at Target and Toys R Us for $6.99!!! I miss the OTC figs and their beautiful packaging for $4.99.

 

JR, you were able to find an R4? Man! I want one but I'm tired of seeing all of my money go away.

 

Sorry DH.. There was only one at the Big Target, I would've called you had I found another one. They had a bunch of Grevious' and Wookies.

 

That's okay. Maybe I'll try my luck this weekend.

 

Me and two work buddies are going today for lunch to check out the stuff in Culver City. I hope I'm lucky I currently have none.

 

Well, mission accomplished! We went to Toy's R Us and then to Target on Jefferson, and I was able to get two of each of the Preview Figures. They had Tion and the R4 at TRU and Grievous and the Wookiee at Target. We bought up all the Grievous figures. Fun trip.

 

Lucky you!! I'm jealous. I don't think I'll have the budget to spend freely on SW this year .

 

Do you think I was concerned with how much I was spending? Please. Just like Scarlett, I'll think about that tomorrow.
