I noticed Windu Washer's sig and it reminded me of all the good times at the Eastgate
Who's an Eastgate Veteran, meaning who saw all 4 movies at Eastgate on opening day and waited in line for tickets.
I can proudly say I am and I was there when Eastgate showed their last film "Raiders of the Lost Ark"

Well, as I didn't live in Portland during '77-83, I wasn't at Eastgate for those. I was there opening day in '97 for the Special Editions, waited in line for tickets, etc. And of course the hell that was May 1999...I was there...though drugs and booze took care of most of my memories of that debacle (sp?). Is it me or was that the longest month of of our lives....

Anyway, that said, I wish Eastgate was still here. Not only for "The Biggest Screen in Oregon", but also...it's right down Division form my house.

I went to Eastgate in '99
    I did Tigard in '97
Valley River in Eugene in '83
And now Evergreen in Beavertown in '02
Shall I roll the dice to see where I'll be in '05? :)
