Ghostbusters is at least a distinct concept. You can remake it with a twist. This . . . isn't even a concept. There's no concept behind the Oceans 11 franchise any deeper than "a heist movie with a large cast." If you want to make a female-led heist movie, you can just . . . make a female-led heist movie. Reducing it to a gimmick where you borrow some other movie's name and then say it's an all-female inversion of it just cheapens the whole thing, as if it's some kind of stunt or experiment or novelty version. Let the thing stand on its own feet rather than turning it into Lady Ocean's 11.

You're wrong and you're missing out. Cast of awesome actors enjoying themselves aside, it's an excellent heist picture on its own merits, with Soderbergh's sense of style. Give it a try.
