All-Ohio Cookout

the sooner we narrow it down, the sooner everyone will be able to make sure they can take the day off work if needed.

Is late July or Late August good for most people? That'll narrow it down to 4-6 saturdays, few enough for a poll if everyone is happy with that.

My bosses are going to start scheduling July soon.

late July...shouldn't be a problem. August...you're flirting with Labor Day and kids going back to college (which in Candii's case would help)

That was my reasoning too, Angel. Candace said they should be back by August 28th.

I couldn't go if it's at the end of August....band camp.

That late in the summer is going to get complicated...kids are heading back to school, some have things like band-camp, and many families take end of the summer vacations.

I think the end of July is sounding like a plan. The best thing to do is probably have the CR's put a poll on both Cleveland/Cincinnati and Columbus boards giving the last two Saturdays of July and have people vote to narrow it down. What do you think?

The date for the All Ohio Picnic is being voted on now on the Cincinnati Board (since it's going to be in Cincy this time). Come on over and vote!

I voted for July 31st...because any later in the summer and everyone will have scedule conflicts with school/work/vacation.

I'm from Dayton and we talked yesterday at our meeting about the cookout. I think the 31st was the date we were all leaning toward, but definitely confirm that with the others, esp. our CR! Hope this helps!

Dayton would be more than happy to host the get together on July 31st. I noticed earlier in the thread the Ohio Garrision may attend as well, I'm sure they'll remember me from the Zahn event...I won the auction for the huge replica of the cover of the book and there is a great pic of me with them on their website. I look forward to meeting all of you at the picnic.
