ST All things Episode 7 Fan Made

I did this one back in December as a series of prints based on the first teaser.

 

these two are really gorgeous!

 

I'm currently creating a 40 by 30 inch poster in the Drew Struzan style, following his process exactly (aside from drawing the characters freehand rather than tracing, as I just can't get my head round tracing being OK) I'll post up once done, as long as some time lapses of me putting it together.

 

That 3-D BB and the last Ren are terrific.

I absolutely love this.

 

This is a work in progress, so not as polished as some of the above as yet. It's on 40" by 30" gessoed illustration board, and aside from using a grid to make sure I got my proportions correct, it's completely freehand.
I'm still trying to decide on a background - I'm toying between either Andy Serkis's eyes, similarly to Darth Maul on the Phantom Menace poster, or Mark Hamill's eyes in a similar way, or to simply have a sky background with a black frame like the AOTC poster.

Any thoughts or input appreciated. Next stage will be to add some texture, before beginning to airbrush.

 

Wow. Love it. Great work. Could you have the fires of the Village rising in to the background with the eyes of whoever above them? Or maybe a night sky with X-Wings or TIES? Either way, looks superb. Can't wait to see the finished version.

So BB-8 and Kylo seem to be the fan favorites right now and it's showing in all of this great fan art.

The Wall-E BB is cute.

 

I love that BB8 is already a well-loved character. My kids saw him roll out on stage and fell in love with the little dude (as did I actually). Potentially (depending on his actions within the film) right up there with Threepio and Artoo, which would be an incredible achievement.

 

I loved his interaction with R2.

they are predicting a 500 million dollar opening box office weekend. like to see Avengers do that.

 

$540 million, and that's just based off of excitement as of right now. By December, it'll be at a fever pitch.
