is anyone from buffy going to be there? i'm trying to convince my girlfriend to go...only so i can meet billy dee wiliiams. sweeeeeeet.

 

I'm REALLY hoping that someone or someoneS from LOTR are going to be there!

now this is really off the subject however... How many con's does Toronto host every year? just out of curiousity. I mean it doesn't seem like anyone their could get any work done at all at the rate they seem to pop up

 

7. Primedia, Conthulu, Ad Astra, Toronto Trek, Anime North, SFX/CN Anime/Comic Expo, and Pandamonium. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head that have been around for a while. There are other smaller ones I'm sure, but those have all been around for at least a few years each. and yeah, it's enough to bankrupt the fans about five times over.

 

And next year we have WorldCon. BTW, does anyone know what the website for that is? The ones I found were bad.

 

The official Toronto worldcon site is at http://www.torcon3.on.ca They will be updating it more often now that the con is getting closer, or so I am told.

As for the number of cons in toronto, there are also a few semi-annual comic meets where dealers from out of town come into the hilton for a day or so to sell their wares.


I can't afford to go to ALL the cons in a year either.

Last I heard there will be no TTrek next year due to the close proximity of dates to Worldcon. Can anyone who went to TTrek confirm that this is still the case?
