Since, Christmas is a couple of weeks away, I was thinking about how some movies had a "christmas theme" in the background..namely "Lethal Weapon" and the first two "Die Hard" movies. If anyone can add to this list, go ahead and do so...also try and think out of the box, for instance: David Fincher's The Game was similar to Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol and Back to the Future 2 similar to "It's a Wonderful Life".

Bernard and the Genie: all time best christmas movie EVER!!! made for BBC tv with lots of brit celebrity & pop-culture references.
"Mr Beardy, Again! Who is this guy?"
    brief explanation.
"Mr Beardy is beginning to sound like a non-event. Do the reindeer really fly?"
    ---
"So tell me about this christmas."
"Well, originally it was to celebrate the birthday of this chap called Jesus Christ who was born... Well, about two thousand years ago."
"Why, what did he do to become so famous?"
"Well, turns out he was the son of god."
    "No, you're kidding."
    "No. true blue."
    "I knew him!"
    "You did not."
"Yes I did. He helped out with the wine at my cousin's wedding."

    also good:
The HogFather. "That was your plan all along." "You might very well think that. I couldn't possiblly comment. Probablly the best Terry Pratchet adaptation.

I'll have to look for it. There's a alternative video that carries hard-to-find and obscure movies...Silent Night, Deadly Night etc.
I forgot to mention Nic Cages' The Family Man...same as "A Christmas Carol".

My families top 10 favorite Christmas movies...
    1. Charlie Brown Christmas, simply classic.
    2. Home Alone, laugh every time.
    3. Home Alone 2, laugh just as much.
    4. Jingle All the Way, say what you will Arnold was pretty funny in this movie and my family went through practically the same stuff looking for the Beast Wars Transformer Cheetor so we all could relate.
    5. Frosty the Snowman, another classic.
    6. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, another classic.
    7. A Disney Christmas Carol, watched it every year since I was a little kid.
    8. The Polar Express, the uncanny valley never troubled me nor did the souless eyes and The Polar Express is my favorite Christmas book so I loved this movie.
    9. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, need I say more?
    10. Earnest Saves Christmas, another Christmas tradition ever since we moved to Mississippi.
