    Exile blows Abyss out of the water, and even Tempest is significantly better. But the main point is that the list is just plain lousy; average Lit ratings have never been a very reliable indicator of quality.

    I updated the authors and made some cosmetic changes (Series books now have authors by them/ranking authors and series/number of novels authors wrote/updating books we need to get reviews on) I'll probably post an analysis soon, as well as see which authors had the greatest or smallest ranges. I'd also like to do a ranking by the chronology of books (i.e. putting Darth Bane trilogy first and Fate of the Jedi last and seeing how the rankings rose and fell)

    I'm almost the opposite. :p I liked Abyss better than Exile, but I thought both were significantly better than Tempest.

    Hm, any reason why the Han/Lando trilogy books don't have separate ratings?

    Updated. Backlash has risen dramatically to become the best of the FotJ books and elevating Allston to 2nd best author over Zahn and after Stover. Clone Wars: Gambit: Stealth, on the other hand, dropped dramatically more than half a point.

    Exactly. In fact, I'd like to see these books re-scored several years down the line, and another one of these histograms done then. I imagine the results would differ considerably. Just a hunch.

    Added Force Unleashed II and Vortex to the list and updated new rankings. Sean Williams made the 3 book minimum author's list (he's on the list for collaborations with Shane Dix) although he's 18th out of 19th.

    Fate of the Jedi has taken a real beating with the book average dropping from 7.29 to 7.15 and Aaron Allston has went down one place from #3 to #4 leaving Ann Crispin to round out a top three including her and the top two of Matt Stover and Timothy Zahn.

    Troy Denning fell to #9th overall with Greg Keyes leapfrogging him. However he is rare company joining only Allston and Karen Traviss as writing at least 10 Star Wars novels.

    The Clone Wars novels have fallen to the #9th best series overall with Republic/Imperial Commando taking over 8th.

    Don't know if its been said but if Matt Stover wrote 4 books and has a 9.5 and Zahn wrote 9 or 10 and has 9.43, what do those ratings really reveal? Nothing, because the data is unrealistic. Just a thought. If I'm interpreting it wrong, please tell me I'm wrong.
