AlphaCon needs your input.
We are in negotiations with several studios to show several summer blockbusters during the event at a local theatre. Which movies would you like to see?
- For the Horror genre fans, AlphaCon has confirmed Dick Warlock, Gunnar Hansen and Carel Struckylen. Sci-fi and Star Wars fans stay tuned!

 

"Headliners" being officially announced this week! AlphaCon will NOT be your average Sci-fi Con, no it will be a "celebration!" Check www.alphaconcentral.com this week!

 

Frankly, so far, AlphaCon sounds like nothing more than another Creationcon type thing -- a procon organized for the sole purpose of gouging money from the fen. Where are the fan organized events? What do the fen get to do besides shell out their money, then sit there while pro-pablum is shoveled down their throats.

 

This IS a fan organized event. It was a fan who brought the idea to someone who could get it done right. But it is a bit typical for the fan community to pass judgement on something before it happens.

P.S. -- I should think that the fact that this is the FIRST Con to feature website pannels and true support for the Star Wars Fan Sites should be indication enough that this is FOR THE FANS! (NOT, I might add, like that money grubbing fiasco in Denver back in '99.)
