Ok, you've got me convinced. Here's the next post.
It's bigger than ther previous ones and it's another evil cliffie.

Chapter 17 - Unlimited power

?You cannot defeat me, Anakin! You don?t want to!? Palpatine whispered, while his red lightaber was locked with Anakin?s.

?Why shouldn?t I?? He asked between tired moans.

?I?m the only on who can save her, Anakin? Sidious? scarlet eyes shone with victory.

Anakin was taken aback. He had never thought of it. After hearing Luke?s story, he had completely forgotten about his nightmares concerning Padmé.

Back-flipping to stay away from Palpatine, he lowered his lightsaber, deep in thought.

He had promised Padmé he wouldn?t? he shouldn?t turn to the dark side and he knew it. But he didn?t want Padmé to leave him.

In that moment of confusion, a ray of light illuminated his path. Well, not really a ray of light, but rather a voice.

?Hello there!? the voice was accompanied with the sound of a lightsaber being ignited. ?Need a little help, my friend??

Obi-Wan. Yes, Anakin wouldn?t turn. He wouldn?t hurt the people of the Galaxy. Least of all, the ones he loved.

?Just in time? Anakin smiled at his former master.

Feeling Skywalker?s choice, Palpatine finally asked ?Is this your final decision, Anakin? Chose wisely, my young friend?.

?I am deeply sorry, Chancellor? Anakin glared at him and bowed in respect. ?But I am a Jedi. I help people. Honour, respect and love are all I want. Not fear, dread nor power.?

Palpatine?s content face changed immediately ?So, be it? Jedi?.

?Are you sure they haven?t seen us?? Nute Gunray whispered, spying the fight at the end of the conference room.

?Yes, I am sure? Wat Tambor?s mechanical voice informed, hiding beside him.

?Then why are you poking me?? Gunray?s irritated voice asked.

?Me? I am not poking you? the droid said with his emotionless voice.

?Then, who??? The viceroy turned to see a blaster in the middle of his eyes.

?Greetings, viceroy? Padmé Amidala grinned mischievously.

?S?ssss?ss..senator Amidala?? the humanoid was taken by surprise. He hadn?t been planning this.

?Now, let us negotiate your return to the Republic, shall we?? She nodded towards the door at the far end of the room.

?They?re here? her eyes were unfocused, lost in deep regret.

?Who? Mara? Answer me! Don?t do this!? Luke demanded.

?The troops! Listen to me Luke? her voice weakened. ?You have to get out of here! Palpatine wants the troops to come and help him. He wants witnesses. Only then, he will be able to proclaim the detrayal of the Jedi.?

?Then I have to do something about it.?

?You? Alone? You? can?t?? Mara?s voice slowly faded away as she became unconscious.

?Sorry, Mara? Luke whispered as he succeeded putting her on a Jedi trance.

He reached for the Force, looking for guidance. What should he do? Help Anakin and Obi-Wan? Or take Mara away and go help Padmé?

As she reached the control room, the doors opened, revealing Artoo and Threepio inside.

?Mistress Padmé! My Goodness! You are safe!? Threepio hysterically welcomed her. But as soon as he recognised the Separatists, the droid started babbling nonsense.

Tired of listening to Threepio?s silly speeches, Padmé turned to Artoo ?You put these two I line?.

The little astromech beeped in content.

The Senator reached the main console, typed a couple of codes and within moments she was ready to broadcast her message.

Darth Sidious? Force lightning quickly illuminated the Utapau cave they were in.

Obi-Wan knew Anakin was powerful, but he didn?t know he was that powerful.

To Sidious? surprise, Skywalker simply raised his hand and the Force lightning was instantly absorbed.

However, it hadn?t been as easy as it looked. Smoke emanated from Anakin?s burnt hand. Fortunately, it was his mechanical one.

Breathing hard, the young Jedi confidently smiled ?So be it, Sith?.

When Anakin reopened his eyes, Sidious was falling of the cliff, Obi-Wan had lost his balance and was falling too.



That was a very tense post, Jadie! And a very evil cliffie!

I don't think you're going to kill Obi-Wan though.
