Am I evil?

I strive to end wars, but at the same time I create them.
I fight constantly to keep the enemies away, but I let what would be friends closer.
Am I evil?

I hide myself in the dark, but I hold a blade of light.
Can I fight for good and destroy the evil that is me?
I laugh in delight when I kill something but at the same time I bless them.
Am I evil?

I let the light consume me when I am alone but with him I am a dark alley
When I strive to end wars, do I not use force when I am to use peace?
Do I not use anger instead of compassion when fighting my enemies?
Am I evil?

Am I the traitor?
Or is he?
Am I evil?



No I am good just doing what needs to be done.

Thanks guys, funny thing is this is technically the first ever poem I have posted here.

 

I think it is a very good approximation of how most "evil" people think.

Very thought provoking, and I like the dignified tone.

 

Evil becomes me
I am not dark but light of a shadow
For each victory I gain it is he who wins
He lets me fall, but praises me when I rise above
Evil becomes me

I hide my emotions from those so dear, yet let those afar fear
I am cloaked in awesome evil but I was surrounded it by bitter light
Evil becomes me

Do I not wear a mask of fear? Could I also where a hood of confidence?
Could I become evil? Or has already become me?

Very....poetic. It gives a nice outlook into all the aspects of war.

 

Dude it has nothing to do with war, it has to deal with emotions and the conflict inside the person.

 

And how war can make people conflicted inside.

 

I guess that's the great thing about poetry. It will have different meanings for different people, even if it's not what the author intended.

But it does reveal a great deal of insight.

I think that the "bad" person, although he doesn't think he is evil, certainly knows that other people around him consider him so. What does he think about that? If he's got a little conscience left, it might sound a lot like this poem.

 

True. I am currently reading books on the subject of evil and mythology and I am also watching and rewatching the documentary called "the chosen one" from the RotS bonus disk

 

Fear

Fear is what drives all beings to love
Fear is what drives all to anger
Fear is what drives the anger to hate
That hate leads to suffering.
I live for fear and fear lives in me

Fear is love
Fear is strength
Strength is power
Power is knowledge
I live for knowledge for I use the fear

Am I not to use fear?
Am I to use peace in place of emotion?
Is peace not an emotion?
What if I feel peace when I fear?
Does this not make me what I have sworn to uphold?
I am fear
Fear is me
We live together for peace and conflict

 

Good inside look to Anakin's thoughts. Makes one think that he believed what he was doing was right and for good.

Also, great thought in the fear. Some people just think that hating is the only way to win.
