Am I the only one that likes TFU

TFU gets a lot of flak and opprobrium from fans yet actually like it a lot. Am I alone in this sentiment.

 

Far from it, I think. I love the narrative and most of the gameplay, even though Galen occasionally seems grossly overpowered for the sake of being cinematic (Star Destroyer scene).

Yes, it's terrible and you should feel bad for liking it!

 

I loved both TFU games.

 

I enjoyed the first game very much.
Hated the second though, too short, quite dull and it took away the magnitude of the first games ending.

 

I liked the first one. The PS2 version was a lot better than the 360 version though. I liked the second one too but it was really short and not as good as the first one. I would of liked there to have been a third game to see how the story ends.

 

TFU 1 is my favourite Star Wars game. I like the story, the locations, the characters, the gameplay, the new music. Just a really fun game.

I liked 2 as well, the graphics looked even better (That rain on Kamino!), and I liked the new locations and story, though it was far too short. (There should have been more levels in the middle of the game before returning to Kamino, and Dagobah should have been a platforming challenge, like the separate challenge rooms, otherwise it's just you walking up a hill)

 

Any chance they'll do a remake of the game (or a third installment) with a new character as the lead?

 

Some of my favorite games of all time.. Even though the second was lacking..

I hate pretty much everything TFU stands for. The gameplay was decent enough, besides pretty much being button mashing, but beyond that I hate the story, because like TCW it inserts a previously unknown character into previously established events and makes them integral to the universe. The way the Rebellion is handled, especially Garm Bel Iblis and Interlude at Darkknell, is also a terrible, terrible mess.

 

First game is okay. TFU II is brilliant, sadly too short.

Didn't care for it. Overhyped and felt too short. The whole storyline about Starkiller's family crest being the Rebellion symbol was also pretty stupid. At least it wasn't the second game though.

2. No, I'm not. It's the absolute nadir of Star Wars in general, but also in gaming. An insipid, panderingly stupid plot with shoddy mechanics and no depth. Anyone who likes this game is vapid and superficial, preferring style over substance.

I am a reasonable and forgiving person and I will tolerate honest disagreement no matter how heated or bitter it is but I will not stand to be personally insulted. One more jibe like that and I WILL pressure the mods until your booted from this site.

 

Ignoring people that have an incredibly over-inflated sense of their own opinion, yes I enjoyed the games when they came out. I was actually disappointed when it became apparent that a TFU III was never going to materialize. Seeing Vader quite clearly maneuver himself into being captured (with the dark side ending showing that he simply wasn't to be allowed to die) left me wanting to see what his endgame truly was.

 

Yeah I wanted to see TFUIII as well. I imagine Vader would have escaped(ANH is just months away) and Marek's clone killed, Juno would probably die too or would join the rebellion. The rebel leadership survives but I imagine they won't be trying to capture Vader again.

Kota more than likely died as well.

 

The way I envisioned TFU III was a narrative that followed both the evil shadow clone, as well as Marek. One that found them battling head to head in the end, only for both to be wiped out. Not sure how a light/dark split would've been handled.
