Toronto America's sweethearts- An exercise in frustration

Ever witness something you know, you just KNOW should have been good? Written by Billy Crystal. John Cusack. Julie Roberts. JOHN FREAKING CUSACK.

Should be a rollicking, funny, wry, look at Hollywood right? Gently pricking the inflated ballons of excess and ego that permates LA-LA land while showing us once again that stars are, deep down inside, people too.

Maybe that movie will be made but America's Sweethearts isn't it. Tedious,sporadic directing combined with the extraordinarily poor comic timing of Catherine Zeta Grave-digger Douglas Jones and an extreme lack of chemistry by all involved reduce this to a rental the very best.

To put it better, the middle-aged woman freaking out at the cost of a small popcorn at the candy counter was more entertaining than this tripe.

Worst movie ever made? NO. Still D&D. Most expensive waste of two hours to date? Yep. $25 for tickets plus munchies and parking. Brutal. I should have snuck into Jurassic Park 3 while my girlfriend wasn't looking.

Actually, thanks for the heads up. I was wondering if it was worth the dough. I can see your point though, I had trouble seeing Catherine Zeta-Jones in a comedy.
