amidala makeup

    is there meant to be any symbolism in the makeup of amidala? jamilla (is that how you spell it?) wears very similar if not the same, so i was wondering what the symbolism was. thanks. Joelle

    The red line down her lip is the scar of rememberance, remembering a time of great suffering before the peace. The two red dots display symmetry. This is in the Episode one Visual Dictionary but I don't know if there's any other info?
