FF:VIC Amusing incident involving a star wars fan

    Do we know what's happened to this gentleman yet? Maybe TK-4611 can update us.

    The reason why police did what they did.

    "Imitation firearm means anything which has the appearance of being a firearm, whether capable of being discharged or not. [Crimes Act, s.77(1)(a)]

    Some of these toy firearms look extreamly real, now imagine an idiot pulling one of these toys out and pointing it at police, especially at night?

    Police officer has split second to decide what to do? Him or Me? I know what I'd do to protect myself, partner and any member of the public that is nearby.

    It's easy for people in hindsight to abuse police by saying it was a toy gun, that's fine, the police member is probably questioning themselves about what they may have done better as well, "Why didn't I notice it was a toy gun? I should have known?" People don't question why the "Idiot" pointed it at police in the first place.

    and the gun did not have a shiny red knob on the end of the barrel! lol

    and yes the police should not be fingered in any way. They were enforcing the law and public safety.
