Edmonton An Edmontooine ''Meet and Greet'' BBQ - September 11th/12th????? Please post inside....

Greetings everybody!!!

Well, we have some new people on the boards whom most of us haven't met yet (mostly because they are living out of town) but it looks like everybody will be here by the time University starts up in September.

So I would like to propose a "Meet N Greet BBQ" event that we can have to give everybody a welcome to Edmonton and to our group of friends.

I have put forth 3 possible weekends to have the event on. We will plan for BOTH days on the weekend; so that if we get rained out on Saturday, we can just bump it to Sunday. We'll still only have it on one day, so if we are a go on the saturday, we won't get together on the sunday (unless we all want to of course).

Please indicate in this thread what weekends you would be available and if it is only for one of the days on that weekend, please put that as well.

September 25/26

I realize that this is a bit early to be looking at this, but I want to give everybody plenty of time to plan ahead so we can get a good turnout for the event and the welcome of our new FanForce members to Edmontooine!!!

My grad is on the 18th, so I can't do anything that weekend. The other two sound good though as of right now.

 

So far all those weekends are free. It's August that seems to be filling up like mad.

It is far more appropriate. And if so many people can make it both days i say make it a sleep over.

 

I am free the 18/19 and the 25/26, but I have church on the Sundays, so I could not attend until after 12ish I think. But I'm guessing this will be an afternoon/dinner thing anyways?

 

So far all those weekends work for me, its a little hard to tell this far in advance though.

 

Yeah, church on Sunday for me also. I doubt I'd be in to a sleep-over anyways. I feel like I'm too old for that, and I doubt my wife would understand.

 

Yeah, I don't think a sleepover will work...

And I realize this is pretty early, I just wanted to put this in the back of your minds when things start coming up for September, you will remember that we are trying to get something going...

Forgot to mention: I'm free all of those weekends... so far.

We probably won't actually be playing the game AT the BBQ, but I guarantee that you WILL learn to play young one...

Yeah, well it's University, they have a habit of loading you up with home work the first day (and every weekend)

 

I should be on Vacation for those days and I might be able to make it. But I might be taking a trip...........but I'll know more soon.
